Also true is the fact that the president has prosecutorial discretion with regard to such matters; a 100-day freeze on deporting unauthorized immigrants is perfectly appropriate and warranted given Trump’s reckless, irresponsible, and lawless immigration ‘policy.’

Biden’s freeze is temporary and perfectly lawful and Constitutional as no deportations have been canceled.

Paxton’s ‘lawsuit’ is devoid of merit and filed in bad faith.

Only a new Executive Order issued by the sitting President can overturn the EO's signed by the previous President. Congress cannot legislate to overturn an EO. They don't have the authority.

The only way to overturn Trump's unconstitutional, immoral, and cruel EO's around immigration, separation of families, and the others cruel immigration practices is to write new EO's, and then pass a new immigration package in the House and Senate to codify the new EO's so the next President can't overturn them.

Biden is facing multiple national emergencies and doesn't have the time to wait for his cabinet and executive level picks to be confirmed before getting to work. Had Republicans not refused to accept his election and begin the transition and appointments approvals in November, Joe would have more of his picks and place, and might be in a better position to get going. Added to which, McConnell only just agreed to rules under which the Senate will function.
