Jesus means Justice, by any other name

If you forgive, you will be forgiven.
If you do not forgive, neither will you be forgiven
The name comes off the blacklists.
The false accusations are recanted.
The false convictions are expunged.
The rights are restored.

There is ample monetary compensation for lost wages, pain and suffering, and punitive damages awarded.

Or else there's no forgiveness.

The atheist doesn't remember what he wrote?

Sins ar e not forgiven because they don't exust. Who determines what a sin is? How does anyone know it is forgiven? Do they get a text, an email?
It's just pure mealy mouthed religious clap trap.
So those 10 commandments don't make any sense ?

For people to even discuss and assess the damages from injustice, including debts and costs for plans of corrections and restoration, this takes clear thinking and good faith relations to communicate construvtively.

justinacolmena This is where I find that forgiving first ALLOWS the process needed to address and correct wrongs.

Forgiving the person is not the same as forgiving the debt, which still has to paid by someone where it leaves physical burdens and costs for remediation.

We need to AGREE on a plan to cover those costs which do not go away just because we forgive the problems.

What I find makes negotiations fail, if people cannot let go of conditions from different groups blamed for the problems, we cannot focus on solutions

For example, both Obama on the left and Ben Carson on the right believe in Microlending to replace dependence on welfare. But political prejudice keeps Black leadership from uniting on common solutions we could be promoting instead of partisan bullying.

And both Sean Hannity and Rand Paul endorse medical associations as Cooperative solutions, while Bernie Sanders also called for worker owned Cooperatives.

Mike Savage is a rightwing advocate for animal rights and environmental protections, in California, but segregated from liberal Green activists who won't touch any Conservative politics seen as hostile.

At what point will the mental barriers come down?

LGBT politics are pushing the envelope and demanding individual inclusion.
When are we going to apply the same policy to each person regardless of stereotype projected from group think?

That's like saying you'll never know God until you fully commit to him.
What a load of rubbish.
No, Colin norris
That isn't how it works.
The people who saw proof of forgiveness and spiritual healing were Open Minded to studying it objectively. Just being open or neutral instead of against was the key.

Scott Peck actually expected to Disprove it by using scientific methods. He admitted being biased the other way, but at least AGREED to conduct his own preliminary investigation, thinking he would affirm his skepticism. Instead he changed his mind and saw observable patterns of changes and stages in patients (in two cases of schizophrenic patients) he found to be measurable and quantifiable as in other fields of medical treatment and psychological therapy.

Francis MacNutt and others in the field noted it was often the scientists and doctors taking an Objective approach who were more open to the idea of medical study of spiritual healing, while Christians biased against using science were more closed and opposed to research on the causes, effects and correlations.

To be open minded to change in approach to conflicting differences requires some degree of forgiveness.
But 1. Forgiveness is still a CORRELATING factor which occurs internally and cannot be traced as "the cause of change" externally of other conditions
2. Even AFTER showing Correlation patterns exist, each person still has to Choose to forgive which remains a faith based choice. The process itself remain faith based, and documenting correlation with cases of healing and recovery merely assists with making informed choices.

brainiac Can you follow this argument and help clarify any of it?
This is one area that is hard to explain in words and usually takes real life examples. To prove/demonstrate how spiritual healing works. Any interest or questions in this area?

This is nothing new actually
But with each person who discovers thet are going through this same process, of coming to terms with Equal Justice and World Peace, this opens up a whole new world and changes how people see and approach things. SweetSue92

Did you have a higher realization that changed your approach to life and relations with others?

I invite you to take a closer look at Jesus' life. He began proclaiming, "Sins are forgiven...Repentance for the forgiveness of sins..." and almost immediately got into trouble with the rich and powerful of his own time. Temple revenues could be hurt by this message! This man had to be stopped! Their authority was not to be dismissed. So they told Jesus to shut up. Or else.

Jesus said he would willingly lay down his life rather than stop telling the people that sins are forgiven. The authorities response? "So be it." They had him killed, but his message spread and remains to this day. Sins are forgiven.
Thanks Meriweather
To explain HOW sins are forgiven,
I cite the Golden Rule:
If we forgive others, then we are forgiven.
If we do not forgive others, they will not forgive us.

The more we forgive and let go of negative thoughts and emotions, the more clarity and peace of mind we receive to better assess and resolve problems and communicate effectively with others to collaborate constructively.

Colin norris brought up the contradiction: how can people be expected to believe in advance?
It does take a leap of faith to TRY asking this help with forgiveness up front, before we can see the results afterwards.

Thus the proof remains faith based.
It rides on people personally experiencing or witnessing benefits of forgiveness and spiritual healing.
And even after that, the process still remains faith based.

We just agree that it helps.

Microloans and payday loans have to be paid back or there's a late night bill collector in a back alley with a baseball bat.

Welfare is subject to gun grab and loss of civil rights, plus it goes on your record as a felony mental illness so can't ever find a job again or get out of the democrat poverty trap.
