JERUSALEM: The Heart Of The Jewish Nation

JERUSALEM: The Heart Of The Jewish Nation

If it is a 'Jewish'/religious state, how can U.S. tax dollars be used to support it, in view of the First Amendment?
It's a National Home of the Jews - religious or not.
Minorities included and respected..

For me, and I have said this before, and I will maintain this stand, Jerusalem can ONLY be corpus separatum. There is no way that it can ever be exclusively Jewish, at least not if there is ever to be some form of peace.

Why not? Every other civil dispute and division of territory has managed to work it out. Why not in this case too? As long as everyone has access to the holy places (possible ONLY with Israeli sovereignty), why is it a problem?

Because East Jerusalem is occupied territory. It's not rocket science Shusha!

Tell ya what, yeah, let's move the American embassy to Jerusalem WHEN Israel gives up the illegally held territories.
The Jewish Quarter, which you want to call "East Jerusalem" WAS occupied by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from 1948 to 1967.

Why do you think it was called the Jewish Quarter?
Who do you think resided in that quarter until 1948, when they were forced to leave by......guess who.....the Jordanian Army?

Judea and Samaria, same thing. The most ancient land of Israel.
Who inhabited that land with others who were not Jews?
When were they expelled?
Why were they expelled?
Why were all synagogues destroyed?

How about TransJordan which was simply GIVEN to the Hashemites who had just fled their ancient land of Arabia?
How many Jews were living there for 3000 years?
How many are allowed to reside in TransJordan now?
How about since 1925 when the Hashemites were simply GIVEN that land, for simply being Arabs?

Just find me the "humanity" of all Jews being expelled from
Gaza in 1920
TransJordan in 1925
Judea, Samaria and the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem in 1948

Then......after you have dared to put some thinking into it.....
Tell me exactly WHY, in 1967........all Arabs were not expelled by Israel from Judea, Samaria and the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem?

3) Under Arab rule holy sites were not protected. Only since 1967 when Israel took control of all of Jerusalem have the holy sites in the eastern part of the city been protected and open to all faiths. Between 1949 and 1967 the Jordanians breached their commitment (in the Armistice Agreement) to allow free access of Jews to the holy sites, mainly to the Western Wall and to the cemetery on the Mount of Olives. They also desecrated the Jewish holy sites.

Six Facts The MSM Isn't Reporting About The Jerusalem Issue

"Jerusalem And Muslim Claims

"The Holy Koran spoke of Al-Aqsa Mosque when it was not a 'mosque' in the Islamic sense. It was a holy place because of the prophets of Israel, from Moses to Jesus. It was the holy spot of worship for Jews and Christians. Obviously, there were no Muslims in the city of Jerusalem till the era of Emir-ul-Momineen Umar ibn Khattab... The Prophet [Muhammad] and his followers prayed with their faces toward this Jewish-Christian holy temple because Kaaba (the present center of Islamic Hajj) was full of idols.

"After the 'Conquest of Mecca,' Muslims were told to turn their faces toward Kaaba and away from Jerusalem. They have never faced their loyalty toward Jerusalem after that, for the last 1,400 years. No Muslim ever went to pray in Jerusalem till it was conquered by the second caliph [Umar ibn Khattab], although there was no restriction on Muslims. They do not go there today because it was no longer their center.

To be 'Jewish' is a religion. To think of the people who consider themselves Jewish as a race is, obviously, racist. All the Jewish people are of the same race as the rest of us. Thus, the quoted post only leaves the question open; how, under the First Amendment, can U.S. tax dollars go to supporting a religious faith? Why not, for example, to the Vatican?

Judaism is a religion.
Jews are a Nation, a Ethnicity.
You are correct.....Jews are not a race.
Of the human race, yes.

Muslims are a religious faith only, and yet.....the USA, EU and others send Billions of dollars to the PA and Gaza.

Explain what loaning money to Israel or any other country has to do with the First Amendment, please.

Humanity, I think sometimes Abbas would like to claim all of Jerusalem, after all, he lays claim to the church of the holy sepulchre. And that part of the old city is in west Jerusalem.
