January 6 probe fizzing out?

If there is no evidence, why is Trump trying to block the records of his actions in office at that time?

only a handful of low level offenses. The great left wing tin foil hat conspiracy theory may wind up being not much.
The Trump goons continue to be sentenced.

October 13, 2021
A federal judge in Washington has repeatedly sentenced people who stormed the U.S. Capitol to more prison time than prosecutors sought, saying that even people who were not violent should face consequences for joining the unprecedented assault.
In the past week, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has imposed sentences ranging from 14 to 45 days on four people who pleaded guilty to unlawful parading and picketing inside the Capitol building on Jan. 6 — a misdemeanor offense.
"There have to be consequences for participating in an attempted violent overthrow of the government, beyond sitting at home," Chutkan said at one of the hearings.

More than 650 people have been charged with joining the Jan. 6 violence, when supporters of Republican Donald Trump fought with police, smashed windows and charged through the building in an attempt to overturn his election defeat. So far, more than 100 people have pleaded guilty, and at least 17 of those defendants have been sentenced.
Of course, not all trump goons were attacking police:

About 500 were hunted down like dogs.
Actually, thanks to the cooperation of the American public, over 650 Trump goons who attacked the outnumbered police trying to protect our democratic process were identified, apprehended, and prosecuted. The convictions of Trump goons continue, but, with no evidence after a year of the Loser's "Big Lie" resulting in even a single actual suspect in his fake vast conspiracy to steal his fictitious "Landslide!" , some are realizing that the Loser lied to them:

A Colorado man was sentenced to 90 days of home detention after telling a judge he is "guilty of being an idiot" for his actions during the January 6 riot in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., the Associated Press reported.
The judge told Croy being a "crowd follower" did not exonerate him from repercussions for his actions.
"I do hope that one of the lessons you've learned from this is that you do have to think for yourself, not accept what people just tell you is the truth," she said...
Croy joins the more than 650 people to be charged with federal crimes following the Capitol siege...
"Now he knows that he was misled by his president," defense attorney Kira Anne West said.
Trump goons have no shortage of Republicans of integrity - governors, secretaries of state, attorney general, auditors, etc., etc.,etc., cluing them in, reminding the dupes that politics isn't the worship of one dude:

Another win for the good guys.

Another win for the good guys.
After a year without a single legal charge relating to a "stolen Landslide!" - or even a single suspect identified in the vast conspiracy - despite all the Trumpy media cheerleaders, Trumpy prosecutors, and Trumpy office holders and cronies who would be hellbent upon making a name for themselves in the anals of trumpery - we must accept that all those complicit Republican governors, secretaries of state, attorneys general and other election officials, tabulators, auditors, appeals judges, etc., etc., etc. who accepted the President's victory as the democratic will of the People are high-fiving with the ever-elusive three-five million bogus balloters who cost the 2020 Loser a popular vote victory in 2016.

The Loser's enemies are legion, wily, and invisible - in contrast to his goons, over 650 nailed with evidence aplenty within a few months of their repugnant caper.

The Trump goons who were identified, apprehended, and tried are still being prosecuted.

This wacko, who has admitted to having been one of many duped by Trump, was especially conspicuous and is being sentenced today:

Jason Chansley claimed he was “groomed” by MAGA propaganda, and offered to testify before Congress during Trump’s second impeachment hearing.
Among more than 600 people arrested after the riot, the QAnon Shaman stands apart as one of the most iconic, bizarre, and enduring examples of the rag-tag mob that stormed the halls of Congress during the last gasp of the Trump administration.
He used a bullhorn to “rile up the crowd and demand the lawmakers be brought out”.
He made his way to the third floor and into the Gallery of the Senate alone where he screamed obscenities before going to the Senate and taking a seat where vice president Mike Pence had been less than an hour earlier.
“Mike Pence is a f****** traitor”, he yelled.
He claimed he was “groomed” by MAGA propaganda, and offered to testify before Congress during Trump’s second impeachment hearing.
His turnaround came after more than 300 days in prison, many of those in solitary confinement, and eight months of denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance that Mr Chansley’s “first love”, Donald Trump, had abandoned him.
By February, Mr Chansley apologized for his role in the riot and said he was “deeply disappointed in former President Trump”.
“He was not honorable,” he said in a statement.
Mr Chansley’s lawyers argued that Trump “groomed” his followers using propaganda on social media…”For years during the Trump administration, the President honed and routinely utilized his mass communication means to effectively groom millions of Americans with respect to his policies, protocols, beliefs and overwhelming fixation on all matters conspiratorial”.
~ Just reported - Chansley is the latest Trump goon locked up:
The Arizona man known as the “QAnon Shaman” will serve 41 months in prison after storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.
