There's just no point in pretending, we're two separate people sharing a country. The Left should declare all of CA south of San Francisco it's own separate state and secede from the Union. Here's the benefits:

• They can appoint Obama President for life and he can spy on everyone in SoCal, unfettered 24/7/365.
• The can pursue their "Southern Strategy" which consist of open border Illegal immigration allowing them access to public resources and the voting booth
• Citizens will not own guns, not even paintball guns

We'd have to move the wall from Mexico to seal off this new country, so please act now before we pull the building permits to built the Yuge and Beautiful Trump Wall.
