There was NO conflict until we left. Our presence alone deterred invasion.
Tonight I heard a discussion with an Afghan vet who reminded us that there are a couple ways to leave a building, such as thru a 40 story window or thru and exit door. Both leave the building, but not all ways are good for us. Another thing is that the troops ordered to abandon the Kurds aren't coming home. They are just redeployed elsewhere, probably in the ME.
