In the piece, Freed outlines a list of narcissistic behaviors, which include craving compliments and attention, being repulsed by other people who grave the same attention, and going back and forth from 'grandiose self-importance' to 'self-doubt and self-loathing'.

Narcissistic people have a hard time accepting criticism, and may attack someone who offers it, she says.

'You have a hard time being ordinary and doing ordinary things,' she writes. 'Life should always be AMAZING and HUGE.'

She points out that the word 'narcissist' is often used as an insult, since narcissistic tendencies can make people behave selfishly.

narcissism is when you look like Chelsea Clinton and then go out into the world goosestepping into anyone who doesn't agree that you look like a super model.
