"It's A $#!* Sandwich". Republicans Rage As Florida Becomes A Nightmare For Trump

TALLAHASSEE — The staggering unemployment exploding on President Donald Trump’s watch would worry any incumbent running for reelection, but troubles in Florida are injecting an added dose of fear into a jittery GOP.

Already anxious about Trump’s chances in the nation’s biggest swing state, Republicans now are dealing with thousands of unemployed workers unable to navigate the Florida system to apply for help. And the blowback is directed straight at Trump’s top allies in the state, Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Rick Scott.

Privately, Republicans admit that the $77.9 million system that is now failing Florida workers is doing exactly what Scott designed it to do — lower the state’s reported number of jobless claims after the great recession.

Swing state huh?
The only thing I see with you Progs is a massive raise in all taxes. State income tax, County income tax, City income tax, Massive increases in property taxes for businesses, houses and apartments. Sales tax increases, Drivers license taxes and fees increases, Gasoline taxes increases, energy tax increases, cable and satellite TV tax increases, and on and on. Then you will see millions of people with pensions in which many may be reduced from this problem, get the hell out of Dodge!

The large numbers of aged population in Florida won't be a problem after this virus is done, especially the way DeSantis and Trump are going.

They can. They will HAVE to.

The thing is, if the republicans had been responsible and not put big business and rick scott before what's best for the state, they wouldn't need to run to the federal government.

Big business saved 2.3 billion dollars on unemployment because of what the republicans and rick scott did to change the unemployment laws in Florida.

Heaven forbid that business properly pay for unemployment.

Both the system and process are intentionally designed to make applying for unemployment difficult, the goal being that applicants will simply give up trying, to the benefit of employers who don’t want to pay unemployment insurance.

Florida is among the most hostile to working Americans.

Florida Republicans hostile to those unemployed use the Orwellian term ‘reemployment.’

And it’s different from NY how?
New York
Up to 1,000% increase in claims: jobless New Yorkers overwhelm system

So what? What does NY have to do with Florida?

Did you actually read that article?

NY state didn't design a system designed to fail. That's what the conservatives in Florida did. It's right there in the article but I'm willing to bet you were too lazy to actually read it.

All you care about is your lame justifications and excuses.

It doesn't work anymore.
Oh right. Yeah, they designed it to fail. Get real. The number of claims is overwhelming the system just as it is in other hot spots. We are a tourist economy that has had to shut down.
Nothing more than another reporter making crap into something its not.

Oh look!

Another lazy conservative who didn't read the article. Are all of you conservatives this lazy that you can't take a couple minutes to read a simple article?

Wow.

Here's a part of the article that says that's how it was designed by republicans and former republican governor rick scott.View attachment 318908.
Oh my, selective editing once again-
But at least one lawmaker, Sen. Joe Gruters, is furious that $77 million in federal taxpayer funding has been spent on what’s essentially a broken down website. That figure is $14 million more than originally estimated.
He doesn’t blame former Gov. Rick Scott’s administration or current Gov. Ron DeSantis. He blames the vendor Deloitte Consulting and says someone should go to jail.

now back to NY-

Can you imagine the shit-show we'd have in Florida if that completely inept, drug slamming, pole puffing, ass banging faggot black dude would have won the governorship?

I hate to burst your bubble, Skews but I don't hear people down here in Florida blaming Trump for what's going on right now. I know you want it to be that way but what I'm hearing more than anything else is what assholes the main stream media have been throughout this entire episode. You on the left think the Corona virus is going to be your ticket back to the Oval Office...you're using a tragedy for political purposes. It's not going to work.

Look at the numbers asswipe. 250 total deaths. In that same time, thousands have died from other (mostly nautural) causes.

You people are full of shit.

Florida is going to open May 1st and New York will continue to die. I won't be happy about New York....but right now they have a about 10 times as many cases as New York.

The only thing you are hearing is what you want to hear. The Corona virus has exposed Republicans as what they are. They are for big business and against the average person. First of all you have DeSantis who was reckless in allowing Florida's beaches to remain open. Now that those actions have led to a spike in coronavirus victims, the people are losing their jobs and need help. However Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis have made that difficult because they wanted to save businesses a few bucks. Now the chickens are coming home to roost.

Actually the Corona virus has exposed liberals for what they are. You people are actually happy that the average person is out of work and suffering because you think that will hurt Trump in the Fall elections. Governor DeSantis didn't do a State wide ban until it was appropriate to do so. Closing down an entire State when approximately 150 Counties had zero cases of Corona virus didn't make sense until the spike in the Miami area threatened to overwhelm hospitals there. Until then, DeSantis let local authorities make the call on whether to stay open or to shut down their economy which was the correct thing to do. Miami isn't controlled by Republicans...it's controlled by liberals...as is every OTHER "hot spot" for the Corona virus in this country!
