What psychologists refer to as “illusory truth” is the tendency people have to believe anything, no matter how false, so long as they hear it repeated often enough. Proponents of climate alarm endlessly repeat that the world is using less and less oil and that this trend is relentless and inevitable. As their logic goes, reducing and eventually ending oil production is merely facilitating a trend that is happening anyway. But that “truth” is completely illusory.

The 2022 edition of the BP Statistical Review of World Energy provides data on global demand for crude oil. According to the review, between 2002 and 2019, total world demand rose by 19.5 million barrels per day, from 78.3 million to 97.7 million. The annual average increase from 2009 to 2019 was over one million barrels per day per year. This is the fastest absolute growth in oil demand over a comparable period ever.

Buh muh electric car

If we lived in a sane country we'd be building new natural gas and oil infrastructure
Refineries are a good start
And Pipelines to get oil off the rails

The truth is also that we absolutely need more oil as global demand increases due to higher standards of living. All economies depend on fossil fuels. Even the alternate energy industry depends on fossil fuels (how delightfully ironic). :auiqs.jpg:

The Biden administration is quietly admitting that shutting down the Keystone pipeline was a disastrous mistake... 50 thousand jobs lost on the pipeline alone and 9 billion dollars up in smoke thus far....

One truth we do not hear is that windmills can leak gallons of oil into the earth... So putting them out to sea and on valuable rangeland and farmland is asinine... why pollute the earth over the fear of carbon a natural compound?....
Wake up libs....

Yep, with advanced technology we can make pipelines safer, make refineries cleaner.. which we already have. Cheap fuel brings about wealth, because the cost of doing business becomes cheaper... when there is more money in everyones pockets, then there is more money to fund private research... things like E.V. transportation would develop quicker and better. The current battery technology is a dead end, and the Libs cant even see that or care.

Installing scrubbing technology costs NOTHING. We can burn fossil fuels cleanly for less than burning them without scrubbing technology. There is zero cost for that kind of stuff.
