Peace be upon Muhammad, his family, his Companions. Muslims are asked to pray on Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) whenever he is mentioned. That is the least one can do. We ask for our leader, our master, our king, peace. Peace is the ideal and the objective of a Muslim. Islam is a religion of peace, between people and between nations.

The Holy Qur'an
"And the servants of (Allah: God) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, Peace! "

The Criterion (Surah 25), V 63

"Nor can goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate!"

(Signs) explained in detail (Surah 41), V 34

"Peace!...This until the rise of morn!"

The Night of Power (Surah 97), V 5

"For their Lord's displeasure is the opposite of Peace and Tranquillity"

The Ways of Ascent (Surah 70), V 28

"So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear."

Those who range themselves in ranks (Surah 37), V 101

"Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill"

"Only the saying, "Peace! Peace".

The Event (Surah 56), V 25-26

"(For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand."

The Event (Surah 56), V 91

"But if they turn away, Say: (Allah: God) sufficeth me: there is no god but He: On Him is my trust,- He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme!"

Repentance (Surah 9), V 129

The Holy Hadiths
We find in the Hadiths, which are the sayings of Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family):

"the Muslim is he from whose hands and tongue others are safe."

"Your blood, your honor and your property are sacred"

The Holy Sharia
One of he 5 lies allowed in some schools of Sharia (the Holy Islamic Law) is to lie in order to make peace between people.

Al Mahdi (peace be upon him and his family)
Al Mahdi (peace be upon him and his family) is currently the king of mankind, the king of the world, the king of the universe. This was done without shedding blood.

The Traditional Knowledge in Islam
It is forbidden in Islam to feel anger towards someone. That would be unbelief, because belief is that God Almighty did that, not the one who offended you, and belief is that God Almighty does only what is best for one. Of course, it's another thing when God punishes one. One is forbidden to hate someone. Someone who dies having hate in his heart is punished by snakes and scorpions the instant he dies. One is under the obligation to forgive, because the ultimate does of it was God Almighty, not the offender. It is a matter of obligations and forbiddens.

You see that this marvelous Islam deserves its name, The Religion of Peace.

Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) was a brilliant war leader and politician. That was a heavenly matter. He went to war because God ordered him to. The miraculous spread of Islam to far ends of the world in less than 100 years, the Ottoman glory and the rise of great Muslim populations around the world is a clear proof of it. Look at all the leaders and the kings in the history of mankind. None of them remains people's favorite after a while, be it Caesar, Martin Luther King, Winston Churchill, Che Guevara or Ghandi.

I speak from the traditional knowledge of islamo-history.

Islamo-barbarism has been the consistent theme of the politico-religious ideology invented by Muhammud (swish). At no time in islamo-history has Islamism been anything but an ideology infused with the principles of fascism.

The worshippers of Muhammud (swish) should take time to actually study the hateful ideology that has caused such death and destruction since its invention by a megalomaniac Arab warlord.

Just some of the verses in the Quran about fighting. Sounds real peaceful.

2.216 Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But God knoweth, and ye know not.

4.74 Let those fight in the cause of God Who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of God,- whether he is slain or gets victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value).

4.76 Those who believe fight in the cause of God, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.

9.29 Fight those who believe not in God nor the Last Day, nor hold that
forbidden which hath been forbidden by God and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

9.123 O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that God is with those who fear Him.

48.16 Say to the desert Arabs who lagged behind: "Ye shall be summoned (to fight) against a people given to vehement war: then shall ye fight, or they shall submit. Then if ye show obedience, God will grant you a goodly reward, but if ye turn back as ye did before, He will punish you with a grievous Penalty."

5.33 The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;

For crying out loud, Islam literally means "the Religion of Peace". It may have many meanings but the Religion of Peace is definitely one of them. Peace in Arabic is Salam. You can bring the two words together Islam and Salam.

When two Muslims meet, they greet each other "Salam Alaykum". It means Peace be unto you. They are obligated, whenever they separate even if for 30 seconds, to greet each other again, "Salam Alaykum", Peace be unto you.

This is for Islam only, no other religion that I know of.

Yea! a real peaceful religion.

Quran sura 8:12

Yusuf Ali: Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."

The true thing here is that peace in Arabic is salam. Islam and salam both come from the same triliteral root. Muslims do greet each other with that phrase. Besides that, this post is pretty much false. :)

Ya, Muslims aren't real big on studying non-Islamic ideas so you probably never heard the greeting, Shalom aleichem.

Islamism has never been about peace. The fascist ideology created by Muhammud (swish) has been about war, conquest and subjugation of those whose lands were invaded by the crusading muhammedan hoardes.

Islam is not about killing people. Islam is about seeking knowledge (knowledge of Islam, of Islam's sciences, of Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, of God Almighty, etc...) and worshipping in the light of knowledge

The first revelation (and revelations came down during 23 years) was an order to "read". The following is the first Surah (Chapter) revealed. See how it unambiguiously discredits ISIS, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, the Taliban and so on...

In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

1. Read! in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created

2. Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:

3. Proclaim! (or read!) And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-

4. He Who taught by the pen,-

5. Taught man that which he knew not.

6. Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds,

7. In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient.

8. Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).

9. Seest thou one who forbids-

10. A votary when he (turns) to pray?

11. Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?-

12. Or enjoins Righteousness?

13. Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away?

14. Knoweth he not that Allah (God) doth see?

15. Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,-

16. A lying, sinful forelock!

17. Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades):

18. We will call on the angels of Hell.

19. Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah, God).

The Clot of blood (Surah 96)

It is very possible that Muslim75 has embraced Islam in a fairly peaceful way and encourages the same in others. I do not see why that makes some people so upset. Islam as well as Christianity can be used to spread The Happy, or they can be used to spread The Hate ^_^

Oh, OK. That settles it then.

Like I said on another thread, man was not created out of a clot of blood. So you had better seek knowledge elsewhere.
