Portugal enslaved Brazilian natives. Spain murdered the indigenous people of Mexico and Central America. England starved the Irish into extinction. Every country in the world expanded it's borders and enslaved or murdered it's neighbors. Why is the U.S. singled out as the bad guy?

Why do Americans claim a moral high ground for anything?
