You don't pay capital gains taxes on your IRA. You pay income taxes when you make a withdrawal.

Any savings you have in a brokerage account that you purchase stocks with will pay more in capital gains. but you have to have more than 80K in capital gains before you pay anything unless your income is above 65K (not sure about the 65k - but there is a limit in which you start to pay capital gains.)

so really it won't hurt anyone but the really well off. I'm for raising capital gains but it needs to be incremental based on income and it should be capped at 28%. I don't think the market impact will be too great. CEO and such will start taking more income and less stock options and they will start paying more in income taxes.

Capital gains taxes are lower to encourage investments. We depend on the market not only to secure our IRA, but to assist in the economy as well. It's like Ronald Reagan once said: If you want more of something, subsidize it. If you want less of something, tax it.

Remember that DumBama did nothing for our economy. What saved his ass was the feds dumping trillions into that market, and that's what got the economy started and growing again, albeit at a pathetic rate. Then he got a boost when energy prices greatly decreased thanks to fracking, which the Biden/ Harris team is against. Everybody across the country had more residual income and put that into the economy.

All those other candidates are professional politicians. They organized their taxes to make it look good for the public in the event they do make it as a nominee for their party. In spite of our dropping unemployment rate, the Democrats are still trying to tug the other way hoping to maintain a bad economy up to election day. We on the right have insisted this has been their plot all along, but the left are convinced by their puppet masters their leaders are stalling the economy for their own good.

The MSM is biased, because just like the government in hopes to use it's power or platforms to manipulate change, the job's or position's were targeted specifically by groups or individuals with specific goals in mind to use those positions gained, to then force change to occur. It has been a learned thing by these groups or individuals united. The problem with any of it, is that it has to use the position gained in a bid to use it to force change against the majority will. In some cases that is ok if you have a situation like slavery that had to be corrected, but that was the only thing that I think was an issue that needed to be corrected. After that it's worked out just fine without people having to take over government or our platforms to effect change by force against the majority. People need to wake up already, and look closely at what is being done or attempted to be done. Beware America, because things are being attempted to go to far against you, and it's not right.

I seriously doubt that Trump read this and fired him on that exact date. Secondly he listed several reasons to fire Comey, not just because of Hillary's emails. The one transcending part was how Comey was in bed with the deep state by telling the AG not to press charges against her when crimes were clearly committed. That has never been done in the history of this country.

Bill Clinton jumped on Lynch's plane to have a private discussion with her. She ordered everybody off the plane, and Bill told the press to keep this meeting to themselves. In that half-hour they talked about the Hillary case. Lynch told Bill she was in a bind. If she didn't bring charges against his wife, she would be called out on it. If she did, she would be outcasted from her party. Bill told her not to worry, the fix was in. All she had to do is make a public statement that she will follow the advice of the FBI director.

She made that public announcement, and on the completion of the investigation where Comey addressed the public, he got the AG off the hook as planned.

When asked, Bill stated they were only discussing their grandchildren on that plane. Turns out that Lynch never had any grandchildren. How did the AG of the United States know that the FBI director was going to instruct her on anything? It's never been done before.
