Zone1 Is Clarence Thomas the greatest black man in American history?

D
Clarence Thomas is nowhere near the top 100.

MLK IS NUMBER 1.

And there are about 50,000 more before you can mention Thomas. He's praised only by the white extremists.
Just imagine -- he made it all the way to the supreme court, he did so because of his talent, dedication and hard work, and that imaginary white devil of yours didn't hold him back.

That certainly blows the false narrative you peddle right out of the water, now doesn't it?

Well…one white devil did try to hold him back….

A white man accuses a black man of sexual assault without any evidence on national TV. Yet here IM2 claims Biden isn’t a racist, us Republicans are!

James West invented the foil electret microphone which is in your cell phone and computer.

George Washington Carver for his AG work.

You are correct about nowhere near the top 100.

You’ve decided that. Since black people prefer to live in a white culture and society and enjoy the privileges that it brings….white privilege. Thus, we get to decide what is great in our society, since we are the ones that built it.
This is not a white culture so we have made no such decision and you can make no such decision. Whites did not build this.

Strange how us supposed “white extremists” praise a black man so much. Kind of debunks the whole notion we base everything on race. Can you explain?
You praise a sellout because he validates your racism.

There is only one reason extremists feel this way about Thomas and we all know what it is.

Any other time they would be shitting on Thomas. Or threatening to lynch him. We both know their true feelings.

Besides MLK being on most lists as the most influential, the inventors, the physisists and doctors rank way above Thomas by a longshot. Thomases' claim to fame is how many speeches he's made and how many times he's been on TV. Sounds like a real blowhard to me and I don't think you would disagree.

He is definitely in the top 3 of the greatest Supreme Court Justices.
He should never have been confirmed to the court.

What landmark decision did Thomas write after all his time as a justice? His associates in the past never let him because they didn't trust him.

This is not a white culture so we have made no such decision and you can make no such decision. Whites did not build this.
What is it then? African culture?

Strange that you blather on about whites all the time and “systemic racism”, yet you claim it’s not a white society.

How can our society be racist then if it isn’t rooted in whiteness?

Nah.... MLK supported peace... IM2 and others hate MLK.
That's a lie. I stand for everything King supported. He supported non violent direct confrontation. That's what I'm doing here. You seem to believe that King stood for shut up and take it.

Dr. King's nonviolence campaign consisted of 6 steps:

STEP ONE: INFORMATION GATHERING. Identify the issues in your community and/or school in need of positive change. To understand the issue, problem or injustice facing a person, community, or institution, you must increase your understanding of the problem. Your investigation should include all sides of the issue and may include formal research and listening to the experiences of others.

STEP TWO: EDUCATE OTHERS. It is essential to inform others, including your opposition, about your issue. In order to cause change, the people in the community must be aware of the issue and understand its impact. By educating others you will minimize misunderstanding and gain support and allies.

STEP THREE: PERSONAL COMMITMENT. Check and affirm your faith in the philosophy and methods of nonviolence. Causing change requires dedication and long hours of work. Meet with others regularly to stay focused on your goal. Prepare yourself to accept sacrifices, if necessary, in your work for justice.

STEP FOUR: NEGOTIATIONS. Using grace, humor and intelligence, confront the individuals whom need to participate in this change. Discuss a plan for addressing and resolving these injustices. Look for what is positive in every action and statement the opposition makes. Do not seek to humiliate the opponent but call forth the good in the opponent. Look for ways in which the opponent can become an ally.

STEP FIVE: DIRECT ACTION. These are actions taken to convince others to work with you in resolving the injustices. Direct action imposes a “creative tension” into the conflict. Direct action is most effective when it illustrates the injustice it seeks to correct. There are hundreds of direct action, including:

• Boycotts --- refusal to buy products
• Marches and rallies
• Letter-writing and petition campaigns
• Political action and voting
• Public art and performance

STEP SIX: RECONCILIATION. Nonviolence seeks friendship and understanding. Nonviolence does not seek to defeat the opponent. Nonviolence is directed against evil systems, oppressive policies, and unjust acts, not against persons.

This is what King was about. But all you can do is repeat one sentence. Do us all a favor:

KEEP DR. KINGS NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!

What is it then? African culture?

Strange that you blather on about whites all the time and “systemic racism”, yet you claim it’s not a white society.

How can our society be racist then if it isn’t rooted in whiteness?
It's multi-cultural especially since many of our states are named after first nations and our constitution and form of government are reportedly based on the Iroquois League. Furthermore, whites have taken credit for things done by blacks. For example, it was a black man that saved Boston from smallpox. It was a black man who created blood plasma. I can keep going. America is not just a white country.

Systemic racism does exist. This is a multi cultural society but all cultures have not been equally represented in law and policy. All cultures are not represented in wealth, employment and ownership. This is due to systemic racism that YOU and others like you have knowingly practiced. So don't ask dumb ass questions.

This man is an absolute legend.

No, Judge Thomas does not even come close to being a great man. Choose from one of these:
1) Marcus Garvey: Leader of the Back to Africa movement in the 1920s
2) WEB DuBois: Intellectual and scholar
3) Paul Robeson: actor, scholar, Civil Rights activist
4) Martin Luther King: Civil Rights leader, minister
5) Malcolm X: Intellectual, human rights activist, minister

Judge Thomas is popular with rightwingers/Republicans/MAGA people because he says what you want to hear. He has forgot where he came from (poor, segregated, racist state of Georgia) and is now kissing up to the very people who oppressed his ancestors.

Malcom X had some good points. He tried to warn negroes about white liberals.
