Societal researcher Salam al-Qaisi told The New Arab’s affiliate, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, that despite the government saying the plan is essential for the economic and societal future of the county, it is also controversial.

"Family planning cannot happen through imposed laws," al-Qaisi said.

"The matter can only be solved through educational campaigns that must be focused on by relevant authorities in coordination with academic and communal institutions and clerics."

Iraq has an exceptionally young population, with 40 percent of people in the country under the age of 15, according to official figures.

Well, this is about to get very interesting.

Despite having some of the biggest oil reserves, much of the population lives under the poverty line and in dire conditions after decades of war, political instability and corruption.

Yes, all world governments are focused on the same thing, how to make less of us.

We are all just a bunch of carbon parasites, but it's not like the good old days when Saddam could just wipe out entire Kurdish cities with WMD's. Now you gotta do this more stealth like.

I'm not sure how stealth like someone is by announcing the policy but ok.

The policy won't work. You are dealing with religious folk who are against abortion and birth control

They will have to do what they have done in the US, pull God out of everything. Then put abortion clinics on every corner, and start teaching gender confusion in schools. Soon they too will have an increase in gender confusion to the tune of up 4000% like they have in the US. Kids will either reject sex with the opposite sex, or have an abortion if they do.

They could also do what democrats are doing in democrat run cities, which is to foster violence and death with black on black violence. Instead, just foster Muslims on Muslim violence.

Not hard to do really. Just create killing fields where people eradicate themselves and ignore it as it goes on.

China ran that game from 1980 to 2015. Of course, they had a tremendous amount of human trafficking that went right along with it.
