Needs more.

Oh wait, then it would look like the Obama Library. ;)

Once again, the Virginian nails it. :laughing0301:

"The massive G-Flak Tower at Wilhelmsburg, Hamburg, photographed in 1943, was one of several above-ground anti-aircraft fortresses built by Nazi Germany to defend key cities from Allied bombing raids.

With reinforced concrete walls up to 11 feet thick, these towers were armed with heavy Flak guns and radar systems to track and engage enemy aircraft. Built in pairs...with a command tower and a gun tower...they created overlapping fields of fire and coordinated air defences for cities like Berlin, Vienna, and Hamburg.

Beyond their military role, Flak towers also served as air-raid shelters, capable of housing hundreds of civilians during bombing attacks.

Though heavily targeted, their sheer bulk made them almost impervious to conventional bombs."

That is one butt ugly building.

I don't mind the arch in and of itself. I'm just not sure it would be in a place where people could readily visit it.

From AI:

"The proposed 250-foot Trump triumphal arch in Washington, D.C., will be handicap accessible. Design renderings for the monument specifically include an elevator-accessible observation deck at the top and pedestrian crosswalks for ground-level access."

If you look on the original diagram, I believe they would like be at the entrances into the column. There are two sets of elevators to the two decks if I am looking at that right.

And how are wheelchairs and mobility scooter going to navigate the steps to get to the elevators?

I'm sure the planners, architects, and builders have worked that out. You can pretty much bet they're not going to build a federal structure that isn't handicap accessible.

I just said it wasn't on the provided image, and remember it is the feds.

And like the feds do, they make everything handicap accessible.

I wouldn't doubt that they also make all the signs there in both English and Spanish. :laughing0301:

Ooops. I was wrong.

"No. The proposed Trump arch (often referred to as the "Arc de Trump") will not have signs in both English and Spanish. [1]
According to the design plans advanced by the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, the monument's inscriptions are designed to be exclusively in English. The planned gilded lettering will feature the English phrases: [1, 2, 3]
  • "One Nation Under God"
  • "Liberty and Justice for All" [1]
Additionally, the lack of Spanish signage aligns with federal policies, as the Trump administration signed an executive order making English the official language of the United States and reducing requirements for multilingual government services. [1]"

Well there's at least that. :04:
