On June 29, 1944, in the sky over Fallersleben, an American B–24H Liberator “Little Warrior" bomber from the 861st Bomber Squadron received a direct hit from a shell from a German anti-aircraft gun. Moments later, the plane will be destroyed by an explosion, no one survived.

In fact, the number of those convicted for political reasons (for "counter-revolutionary crimes") in the USSR for the period from 1921 to 1953, i.e. for 33 years, was about 3.8 million people.
