Inquisitions and jihads. Why do theists and progressive voters respect the religions that use them?

The inquisitions were primarily to put down the Gnostic communist uprising. They were reprehensible people who Darwinized themselves out of existence.

the 'Inquistions' were never as big a deal as the old anti-Catholic Reformation propaganda made them out to be. If they killed everybody that was claimed Europe would be empty of people now. The Spanish and Portugese Inquisitions killed around 5,000 people tops, mostly Muslims and their Jewish allies after the Christians took back Spain; they didn't want any spies or 5th columnists around in case the Muslims decided to re-invade, which was probably a good idea. The Roman Inquistion killed almost no one, outside the Cathars; the Cathars of course were left alone for almost a hundred years, until they decided to kill a priest sent to investigate church vandalism, so they don't really make for sympathetic victim status anyway. What some Roman feudal lords did under Christianity is nothing compared to the atrocities their enemies committed, in the case of Muslims literally millions were murdered, and the others just hoped to murder that many; they're mainly pissed off at Christians because they stopped the criminals from succeeding, that's all. How dare those uppity Xians defy the master races. The gall ...

Liberals are failing badly on the Islam problem. This is a fact. Conservatives are better, but they often taint their efforts and make it impossible for liberals to ally with them, when they tackle the Islam problem as "the wrong religion".
