How much of the price of goods and services in America is spent on tax shift? That is taxes passed down the supply chain to the consumer.?

Any good resources to read about this?

this is most commonly called a value added tax, and it is used in much of the world. The idea is to hide the cost of govt by taxing the supply chain rather than using a sales tax when the consumer or end user buys something.
