I don't drink but I can't believe there are still places in America where alcohol can't be sold. I think this is ridiculous.

The red and yellow are certainly not the values of the blue moderate suburban majority!

The counties in blue are not Somalia esq wastelands!

In Ohio, townships and municipalities can vote to go "dry."

There are assorted licenses required for beer and liquor sales.

The politics, distribution rules, and price controls behind the laws are indeed archaic which causes the yellow. As far as red, that must be Yahweh-belt areas. :p

Pa controls all sales of alcohol.

want wine or liqueur, go to the state store

want beer, go to a bar, also for 6 packs. beer stores may only sell by the case, no mixing allowed.

some counties vote to be dry, that ends up with a store at the edge of everyone so people can pick some up on the way home. same amount of drinking getting done, just less jobs and tax money
