In Ontario we have cops and casinos. Those are the top industries here. $30,000 Per capita goverment debt, TWICE that of California.
The province is essentially insolvent, I wouldn't buy an Ontario bond just out of principle. The province is lacking innovation, our most intelligent and ambitious leave while their passport is still warm. There have literally been unGodly lineups and delays right now as the demand for it is so high, people are getting the hell out.
The gambling push is constant and relentless. No target market is off limits. It's on CBC and other major Canadian networks. NHL hockey has been pushing provincial gambling and online slots/betting sites it seems every second commercial on Sportnet. They have a pre game and intermission push for gambling ffs, going over some lines and prop bets. Former NHL great Wayne Gretzky is even promoting for MGM, he is one of many in on the action (I suppose they need the money).
NHL viewers are the most vulnerable and impressionable market, many young fans, even too young to gamble but being groomed (Creepy Canadians seem to enjoy grooming the young) by the broke province early.
THIS is what a socialist police state offers. Not innovation or intellectual discourse among citizens, but low hanging fruit of a desperate and broke jurisdiction. Broke both spiritually and economically.
Quite sad and degrading of ANY population. No wonder the rest of the world eats our lunch. Do NOT become like us.
