On a hill
1) Brewpub closed its doors this past weekend. Been open since 2002.
The owner could no longer take him and his wife having to work double shifts 6-7 days a week due to short staffed.
2) Japanese steak house was supposed to open Sept. 1, they literally just opened for dinner only today. 3 weeks later than expected with hiring issues.
3) Arby's restaurant suffering temporary closures through lunches and dinner to not enough staff. Today the company gave up and is closing for good.
4) Mexican restaurant downtown shortened hours, closing at 7pm instead of 9pm due to staffing problems.
5) Pub/restaurant that opened early his summer, after 3 months they are just now fully staffed to be able to open outside seating. Not enough wait staff to handle both inside and outside. Was closed last Wednesday for lunch... 2 waitresses didn't show up.

Now before the morons here say "well pay them more and they will show up"... bullshit.
I would say 5 years ago the average restaurant worker here made between $8 - $9 an hour with absolutely ZERO staffing problems.
Now they are paying between $11 - $14 an hour and they struggle everyday with short staffing. That is a wage increase around 32% in 5 years.
And then - of course - people are complaining that going out to eat cost so much.
All dumbasses.

The same deep thinkers that say just pay them more also don't believe the companies should be able to raise their prices.
They have zero clue how businesses operate & don't understand how expenses affect prices the customer pays.

I guess you can't know much about real economics & still be a socialist/lefty.

The biden economy is bad for America... we will feel his fuckups for a very long time...

They'll get to the point in time -- and I can't wait -- when it will be NO WORKEE/NO MONEE.

Starve, bitches.
