There have been some successful jailbreaks in history and these are some of the most daring prison escapes. Here is top 5 on lists.

John Dillinger
John Herbert Dillinger Jr. was an American bank robber.He escaped from prison twice in his criminal career.Dillinger was shot three times and was pronounced dead shortly after shoot out in Chicago.
Frank Morris & The Anglin Brothers
In June 1962, three prisoners of the notorious Alcatraz Island escaped and mysteriously went missing. Frank Morris, John Anglin and his brother Clarence spending two years digging an escape route through the cell walls and building a raft to sail to freedom.The FBI closed its case in 1979, concluding that the escapees were unlikely to have survived.However, no bodies were ever discovered.
Maze Prison
HM Prison Maze was the location of the biggest prison escape in British history, when on 25 September 1983, 38 IRA prisoners smashed their way out of the maximum security prison, widely considered to be one of the most escape-proof prisons in Europe.
Omid Tahvili
Omid Tahvili is the Iranian-Canadian boss of a massive Canadian crime family. While awaiting trial in a max-security Canadian prison, Tahvili bribed a guard and simply walked out the front door. In 2008, he was named one of the world’s ten most wanted fugitives.
Frank Abagnale
Abagnale's most famous escape came in April 1971, when, after a U.S. marshal forgot his detention papers, he convinced guards he was an undercover prison inspector. Once Abagnale walked out of the prison, the guards never saw him again. He was escape for another two months before being re-arrested
