I'm beginning to think it is not a bad idea for Biden to not get into negotiations with the progressives, or for Manchin and Sienna to make demands

The reconcilliation bill is already less than Biden wanted, esp in terms of tax hikes. Sienna has been quiet, but Manchin's objections seem to be more on the size and details than the actual goals, such as not requiring parents to have jobs to get a tax credit.

And manchin may be right. Why do married working parents get less than non working singles? LBJ screwed this thing up, and there's no reason to keep being stupid because you were stupid 55 years ago. LOL

Joe Manchin just said that the right number for the "social infrastructure" bill is $1.5T geared mostly toward families making less than $50,000 a year.
Manchin also wants SS & Medicare fixed.

Who the fuck is Sienna? (in your title)
"Raw Sienna"?

You might mean Senator Kyrsten Sinema?
