“Illinois the unofficial sanctuary state”
Little is known of the actual cost to the Illinois taxpayers of the financial damage that the illegal alien invasion has done to their state. The politicians of Illinois should consider conducting a complete study of the ongoing costs of illegal immigration. By ignoring the problem it will only get worse and it will be expensive to remedy.
By the politicians ignoring the financial problems caused by the illegal aliens, they do their constituents great injustice.
What is known about the costs is that in a 2007 report “the illegal alien population residing in Illinois indicates that population costs the state's taxpayers more than $3.5 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration.” LINK
A newer report indicates that in 2009 Illinoisan taxpayers funded $51 million dollars to cover health care for illegal alien children. This cost was piled onto an already near bankrupt budget. When Illinois is broke then they will be unable to help anyone else legal or illegal.
Illinois’s Come-On-In Policy is costing the taxpayers billions of dollars for other benefits that the illegal aliens receive even though no one is counting. Children of illegal aliens receive in-state tuition and the cost of repeat criminal offenders in jails and prisons is devastating.
Chicago and Cook County are sanctuary regions, “Where it’s illegal for law enforcement to ask during arrests whether those arrested have current immigration documents.”
“Then in May, Gov. Pat Quinn declared that Illinois State Police would no longer cooperate with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in enforcing federal law, making Illinois an unofficial sanctuary state.” Welcome to the United States of Illinois!
It seems that the Catholic Church is protecting illegal aliens in every way. Maybe we should load them up and drop them off at the Popes doorstep and see how he likes it when millions of illegal aliens run rampant in his city.
In a critical time the illegal aliens in Illinois are contributing to the 40% unemployment rate of black American teenagers. Not to mention the high unemployment rate of black American adults. The illegal aliens are also unfairly competing for scarce and precious low cost housing, food stamps, Medicare and other social and educational benefits designed for native born Americans.
“It’s politicians from both parties using immigration policy to pander for votes and political power that has led to the current disastrous situation.”
“And Barack Obama has shown no leadership on this issue. Dictators stay in power through the barrel of a gun. Politicians stay in power through giving handouts. That’s the only difference.”
English should be made the official language in America since English is what makes us a unified nation. New immigrants whether legal immigrant or illegal alien should be made to obey the current federal immigration laws. The number one law in coming to America is to come the legal way. The federal law also, states that immigrants have to have a speaking and comprehensive knowledge of the English language. The Immigrants are required to have a financial backing so, that they are not a burden to the American taxpayers.
The Immigrants must respect America’s laws and traditions. Immigrants have to accept the country that accepted them. The countries voting ballots local, state and federal should be printed in English only. There should not be interpreters at the welfare offices, schools, or DMV offices or any public or federal buildings.
Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth but his main agenda is to fight for illegal alien tolerance and to give the illegal alien’s amnesty. I believe to strengthen his voter base.
The illegal aliens come from countries all over the globe. Many of those countries ignore their people’s wants and needs and their people live in great distress and poverty. It is the people in those poor countries that should be demanding more of their own governments for their own people instead of running away from their problems, they should embrace their problems. The people need to create their own armies and their own police forces as soon as possible.
America is a great country but its greatness came after the American people did much fighting to make it that way. Americans over the centuries have had to fight for human rights and equality, they fought long and hard and made America the great nation it is today. It didn’t happen overnight and it wasn’t just handed to them, and many great sacrifices had to be made.
We Americans have great pride in our nation. The ones who don’t have pride and just want to give away, what many have given their lives to earn and keep must be stopped. Selling America down the drain for financial gain cannot and will not be tolerated. We are not a nation of hobo's.
Over the centuries the Americans have had to fight for justice and equality and peace in their own nation. Women have had to fight for the right to vote and equal pay. The Blacks have had to fight for their freedom and all people of this great nation had to fight for work place justice, child labor laws and living wages. There was much bloodshed but with perseverance we succeeded in accomplishing our many goals.
I suggest other countries make plans and goals and unify as a nation of people to accomplish those goals in their own countries. Face it there is no place like home and there’s nowhere people would rather be that with friends and family. So, why not make your own countries a better place for its native people.
Those people who are in America illegally they should all go back to their native lands and form parties and change their governments. Make your farms flourish and feed your people and use your resources wisely. Work on providing everyone with a warm and safe home and nutritious food on the table. Build happy communities and enjoy your culture. There’s not much more worth having than that in my opinion. Peace Out.
