Besides pumpkin pies and jack-o-lanterns, are there any uses for pumpkins though?

A lot of people like pumpkin spice. Its ok by my way of thinking, but to each their own.

Pumpkin is good for lots of things......

Pies, soup, breads, dog food........pretty much whatever you use squash for.

You can even slice it up and roast it with salt & pepper or other seasonings for chips as a snack and do the same with the seeds

If you're not using a trebuchet, you're not doing it right.

That stuff is so cool! I watch some of it, every year. The trebuchets are amazing, indeed. I like the air cannons also, though. The physics at play, the mechanisms, the engineering, hurling a common pumpkin down field what would be a long shot, by civil war cannon, back in the day. Even the selection of the pumpkin projectile comes in to play, as it has to withstand the g-force acceleration and sometimes doesn't.
