Something I learned in my time in the military is bad leaders cause people to die. It usually doesn't take long for an idiot officer to lose the confidence of his men. If you're lucky enough to live through one of his screw ups...hopefully the chain of command transfers him into a staff position. Fuck up and move up we used to always say.
But when it comes to politics...even the worse leaders can remain in their positions of authority as long as they can buy the votes they need to stay around, or convince the voters that they're the lessor of two evils.
Many leaders in our country are only in power because of identity politics. Some voters will vote for a cocaine addict if they're the right race, religion, or sexual-orientation. When you bring people to your country who hate your country....and then allow them to vote......you're not going to elect leaders with your country's best interests in mind. How qualified they are doesn't matter. Love of country doesn't matter. If you purposely change the electorate into a bunch of angry folks who hate everything your country stands for....the leaders they pick will probably do everything in their power to screw up the country.
Joe Biden's trip to Europe was a disaster. It's hard to believe that a US President is more trusting in our enemies than he is in his own people. There's something wrong with a leader who hands over a list of 16 key areas for them to stay away from thinking that an enemy won't attack them....and then a week later threatens his own people in a speech dressed up as a crime prevention measure. It's true intention is to disarm them and make them less safe in their homes. He doesn't trust the American People.....but he trusts our enemies to stick to their promises.
What kind of leader is that?
