It's a sad state of affairs with all the identity politics and demagoguery/denigration going on. We can't disagree without being attacked, sometimes physically, reviled, and cancelled. Meaning you lose your job or your standing within your social groups. And everybody with your views is painted with the same brush when some individual in your group does something rash or stupid.
