If the HOU Astros faces we keep seeing were, dark-skinned, when they cheated in 2017?

Put yourself in the players position. You can’t exactly refuse to listen if someone is feeding you info on pitches.

I don't see the big deal about stealing signs. We were doing that in little league in the 50s and 60s. This is another big to do about nothing just like deflate gate. People in sports are always trying to get an edge. This isn't earth shattering news.

It was cheating.. a whole new level! They should take the sox championship and Houston and I’m in Boston

This has absolutely nothing to do with race.

Got proof?

If you have no proof/no evidence, then you no grounds to say that Race was not a factor regarding the baffling leniency here.

The MLB was built on the, principle, of treating Blacks as 'less than' others.

So when reflecting on the lack of punishment here, it makes sense that their are no darkskinned players because then leniency would be disallowed. Look at how Barry Bonds is now treated for being, unaware, that his body was stealthily being pumped with HGH by his trainer.

There was a story about the 1951 N.Y. Giants. The year Bobby Thompson hist the home run heard around the world. It was rumored they had a telescope in center field and stole signs once they knew the counts/codes. The Giants were 13 1/2 games back and came on to beat the Dodgers in a 3 game playoff to get to the Series.

Would the Commish Mr. Manfred still say 'no punishment' for players?

What say you??
Pete Rose belongs in the HOF

Agreed.

In baseball, Pete Rose should be a nonperson. No mention of him in any way, banned from any MLB property (arrested if he shows up), not one single mention of him ever again. He should be treated like Benedict Arnold.

In baseball, Pete Rose should be...

In baseball, if we could count total # of player's fans, over their career: Pete Rose was in the Top10 All-Time players who caused the most humans to love MLB, for sure, and that is what the HOF is meant to stand for.

No, if you cheat you're a dirtbag, plain and simple, not a champion. The penalties won't deter anybody.....an MLB championship is worth a BILLION dollars to a franchise in memorabilia. The only way to stop it in it's tracks is to hand out a few lifetime bans to the players involved (ie Shoeless Joe Jackson) and award the WS trophy to the team they went to the World Series against. Boston too.....teach the kids that cheating is cool and watch what happens to society as if the last 40 years hasn't shown you enough already. This ain't over and it won't be over until the commissioner is replaced or uses his man-card to insure this shit never happens again.

It would be interesting to know who and/or how many players initiated this.
