If it was good enough reason for Barry, it's good enough for Trump.

Barrett. A female conservative judge.

The usual Democrat tactic of ambushing a nominee with a hoard of women coming out of the baseboards to accuse them of sexual misconduct would not work.

Beating down a woman would look just as equally disgusting as the heinous attack on Kavanaugh.

A woman might ease concerns over Rowe-v-Wade...

And across the country the majority of Americans are chanting 'Fill The Seat', which Trump has both the Constitutional right and authority to do.

Giddy-up!

If the Democrats win the White House and the Senate it won't matter who the impeached president trump and Moscow Mitch shove into the vacancy left by Ginsberg's death.

Since there is no limit set by the Constitution on the number of justices to serve on Supreme Court bench, the Democratic congressional majority need only increase the number from nine to thirteen. A liberal majority in the SCOTUS could then be appointed, and last for decades.

That's a helluva lot of 'If's...

After an announced nomination for a Justice seat by a president, confirmation has taken weeks and months..... for the 8 justices on the Supreme Court.

Kagan. 87days
Kavanaugh 88 days
Gorsuch. 65 days
Thomas. 99 days
Breyer 73 days
Sotomayer. 66 days
Alito 82 days
Roberts 62 days

I don't think a lifetime position on something as important as sitting on the Supreme Court is something to rush through.... unless the person nominated had some superb lawyering achievements....
(like Ginsburg was notorious and famous for winning cases brought before the supreme court, prior to appointment, the Senate voted 97 to 3, to confirm her.)

-------

Scalia died in February, nearly a year before Obama's last day in office, Ginsburg died 4 months before the end of Trump' s first term with the election just 6 wks away. The timing, makes it slightly different circumstances.

But, ultimately, it is up to the President, to pick the replacement for Ginsburg... I just think the Senate should not cut corners and ram a justice through, without the proper hearings and evaluation, for this extremely important lifetime position....

All the other justices sitting now, had to go through the grueling process, and so should whomever is picked by President Trump.

He is a self-professed Constitutional Scholar and a NPP winner, so are we to disagree with his argument regarding the need to fill a USSC Justice vacancy 'immediately'?!

McConnell can deny Trump just like he did Oblama since if it's good enough for Oblama it's good enough for Trump.

McConnell can deny Trump just like he did Oblama since they are one in the same..
There is a slight difference....

In the case of Garland, the Republicans controlled the Senate (so Obama expected the opposing party to OK his choice)....

That made it DOA.....

In this case, Trump will be sending the nomination to his own party...

Like Obutthole said, elections have consequences...

The Senate leader said he doesn't like to nominate during campaign season.

Yet, it didn't work just like it won't for Trump.

Unless there is a Democrat in the WH...

Obama made the case for filling a vacancy immediately, & you seemed to be fine with it....

Which will be a great catalyst to rally conservatives to get out and vote. Don’t forget abolishing the Electoral College as well. Change the rules, shift the goal posts.... it’s not like Democrats can win on ideas anymore.

Obama has convinced Lindsey Graham chairman of the Senate Judiciary, he changed his mind yesterday and said we should fill the seat now. :muahaha:

Many were appointed in less than 45 days too.....including RBG

Nice ad in the op article link, from the Trump campaign,

Telling Trumpets to request their ballot to vote by mail, click here!

Forked tongue, slithering creeps!

I expect no better from the RNC Senate hypocrites on anything they do....including on this justice opening 6 weeks from the election.....lying is their natural tongue.

He made his twitter comments 9 MONTHS after Scalia died and his seat was still open.
