He bet on football games and was barred from playing by the NCAA

So Sorsby found a judge to overrule the NCAA

I think libs will cheer this decision and most MAGAs will see it as just another rogue judge abusing his authority

I don’t know anything about the judge, but it seems like the temporary injunction is probably in the wrong since he doesn’t have a likelihood of success on its merits.

That said, can’t Texas Tech just cut him?

Texas Tech wants him to play, so why would they cut him? They offered him millions to play.

This order doesn't bar the Big 12 from intervening, just the NCAA. (if the Big 12 does, he could sue them) but will they? He is the Big 12's best "bet" to get the Big 12 into the college championship game.

Colleges get millions from sports betting. Sports betting is advertised at the games. They pretty much brought this on themselves.
