I wrote this a few days ago. Thoughts?

The Esperanto original:
"Niaj okuloj bruletas kun la fajro de la vivo.
Niaj piedoj marŝas tra la cindroj de la homfiero.
Ni estas la postrestaĵo de la mortantoj.
Ni estas la mortanta lumo."

Translation:
"Our eyes smolder with the fires of life.
Our feet trudge through the ashes of human arrogance.
We are the remnants of the dying.
We are the dying light."

I'm fully aware I'm not a poet. I was bored at work and found myself with a pencil in hand and thinking about how fucked my generation and our children are. That tends to happen sometimes...

I look at the world we were left and all I can do is shake my head and hope the last one leaves us at least some scraps to work with. We can't rebuild if they rob us of the rest of our future.
