I dont see why Christians can't work on Christmas. Nothing in the scriptures says work 6 days and rest on the 7th except on Christmas.

Of course, I don't mind taking the day off either

Convert to Judaism. Get every Friday night to Saturday night off for the Sabbath. And Jews formed some of the first unions.
