Here in traverse City Michigan the Socialist Party of Michigan Organized a OWS rally at the Main Office of the Local Chase Bank. Sent out mailers and everything, Complete with the heading. "Socialist Party of Michigan"

Hmmm

This is just a grass roots movement... a bunch of regular Joe's and Jane's who don't like to bathe, getting together to protest and stuff........George Soros is not involved, Move-on is not involved, Big labor is not involved, the American Communist party is not involved, and the Socialist party is NOT INVOLVED!!!

OWS

Not about socialism but the number one protest movement for socialists.

This OP is very RGS-ish.

It doesn't matter that all those people are involved, look who is showing up? Yes, regular people are showing up because regular people are fed up. Read a little bit about the OWS, check out their facebook page and get back to me.

Is there any proof Soros is involved other than the Tide Foundation? I am just wondering.
Because 170,000 over 10+ years is not a smoking gun.

Luissa, I don't know if George Soros is involved, or move-on, or big labor, the commies, or the socialist scum. I was just assuming they were! Because anytime a large gathering of people that stink like wet garbage, hate America, and want to protest "corporations" get together - I assume that the usual suspects will get behind them...

Its a grass roots movement, in that a lot of grass is being smoked .

Yeah, cause Michigan speaks for every person involved in the OWS.

No matter what anyone says that supports the OWS, you guys will make up stories about what they believe, want, etc just so you can keep jerking off to what you "believe" they are about.

It's just so funny how the OWS disclaims anything.

"What do we want?

DON'T KNOW!

When do we want it?

NOW!"

I would be shocked if local socialist parties weren't supporting the OWS to a degree. That being said, such parties simply aren't strong enough to offer significant support to a national movement. I seriously doubt that most OWS have had any direct contact with a self-described socialist organization, or derived any material support therefrom.

Thanks for proving my point.

Hmmm

And if a local white supremacist organization should join a TPM event it wouldn’t mean the TPM are fascists.

This ‘guilt by association’ nonsense played by both left and right is pointless and lame.

Actually, for the slow like you, your post, combined with all other denials by those calling themselves the OWS, completely supports what I just said.

I understand how that went over your head, though.

Directly, or indirectly, there is a tie-in.

Adbusters is the catalyst for OWS.

"Soros has donated at least $3.5 million to an organization called the Tides Center in recent years, earmarking the funds for specific purposes. Tides has given grants to Adbusters, an anti-capitalist group in Canada whose inventive marketing campaign sparked the first demonstrations last month."

And it wasn't "170,000 over 10+ years."

"According to IRS disclosure documents from 2007-2009, the latest data available, Soros' Open Society gave grants of $3.5 million to Tides, a San Francisco-based group that acts almost like a clearing house for other donors, directing their contributions to liberal non-profit groups."

"Regular people" who want want to abolish profits and private property. Regular people bathe and don't shit in the street.
