Luissa, I don't know if George Soros is involved, or move-on, or big labor, the commies, or the socialist scum. I was just assuming they were! Because anytime a large gathering of people that stink like wet garbage, hate America, and want to protest "corporations" get together - I assume that the usual suspects will get behind them...

I would be shocked if local socialist parties weren't supporting the OWS to a degree. That being said, such parties simply aren't strong enough to offer significant support to a national movement. I seriously doubt that most OWS have had any direct contact with a self-described socialist organization, or derived any material support therefrom.

Adbusters is the catalyst for OWS.

"Soros has donated at least $3.5 million to an organization called the Tides Center in recent years, earmarking the funds for specific purposes. Tides has given grants to Adbusters, an anti-capitalist group in Canada whose inventive marketing campaign sparked the first demonstrations last month."

And it wasn't "170,000 over 10+ years."
