everywhere and nowhere
We shall see whether it varies much from the Young Republicans meetings and focuses more on actual policy than spending so much time discussing fund-raising. Already I noted that they didn't expect you to break off a chunk off every paycheck to join, unlike the republicans.

It is an interesting question. If you ask any church pastor who runs a youth ministry, he or she will likely tell you that young people in general come up a little light in the pan. I see no reason political organizations wouldn't have the same experience with young people. If that translates into an open hand shoved into your face is another matter. I would think with the slush funds democrats have set up for future electioneering efforts, foreign pre-paid debit card donations and recent chumming of the corporate and union donor waters via corporate and pension fund bailouts, special tax breaks, politically targeted stimulus grants and unconstitutional seizure of private property for the benefit of supporters they would be in a better position to fore-go your contributions.

You be sure to let us know what happens.

The problem with the Republicans was that they always wanted to discuss how to win elections and keep the Party in in the seat, not policies and how to help Americans. The problem with the Communists and anarchists is simply that they are deluded fools who seem to have no contact with the real world. The problem with those who call themselves Social Democrats is that they appear to all be dead.

Exactly why the Tea Party movement has to be the adult in the room. Parties holding power for no other reason than self-promotion got us here. Grass roots involvement by informed patriots is the only hope we have to turn the tide of public ignorance.

By denouncing socialism and entitlements while screaming 'don't touch my social security' and threatening violence and to settle political disputes with a Browning?
Grass roots involvement by informed patriots

Informed? Again, Social Security is an entitlement and many of the TPers who denounce it live off if it.

Patriots? Screaming about how a lost democratic election is tyranny?

The last I saw grassroots campaign that wasn't funded and organized by corporate lobbyists was the Ron Paul Rloveution and the Civil Rights movement before that

I happen to like S&M clubs...
No wai!

The Young Republicans I know seem to be more interested in getting together and drinking, than they were in promoting the Republican Party.

The Young Libertarians, though, they are fun. They hand out free monopoly money, and peacefully protest by getting stoned!

A Browning?:cuckoo:

I'm calling BS.:eusa_hand:

Lets see proof.

I've been to numerous Tea Parties. I have never seen any signs calling for an end to ssi or medicare for those who have already involuntarily paid for it.

I'd be happy to opt out of the federally mandated ponzi schemes though. Is that permitted?

Now that the government has collected medicare taxes for some forty years and it is near insolvency, they decide it is a perfect time to cut it to fund the next ponzi scheme?

In case you've been on another planet, the Congress and White House has been using the Constitution for toilet paper. Winning an election doesn't mean they get to rule by decree.

Better bring some of this:

the tea party's pretty much old farts acting childish, and constitute the catalyst of public ignorance.

i was a yung libertarian. that shit made the most sense and had the best members in many respects. young reps are an elitist extortion machine, indeed. all of the political orgs were social clubs pushing partisan agendas, and the libertarians, alas, lost their appeal once the real world kicked in and it became more clear to me how it really worked.

"Young" Republicans is not really an accurate description. These were the guys who went to "Bondage" Dinner clubs to watch Faux lesbians "perform". If they were "youth", they never would have gotten in.

Perhaps it's merely a mater of perspective. If the majority of the Republican leadership is in their 60's and 70's, then for sure, someone 30 and 40 would indeed be considered a "young" Republican.

Have fun.

Make sure your uniform fits properly

And you guys say the most terrible things about me for telling the truth. Then you have the nerve to lie.

And you're the clowns who are going to "take back America"?

What?

So you can "finish the job"?

Funny--I know people who have joined conservative organizations--and no one has required them to pay---:lol:

While--you're at the young democrat organization--maybe you can convince them to get back to the democrat party of JFK--a conservative one---:lol:

Because the democrat party of today--is not anything close to the democrat party of decades ago. Your party has been hijacked by a bunch of liberal left-wing big spending nut-cases.

JFK was a conservative? Holy fuck...and all these years, I have remembered him so fondly as the guy who beat out Nixon, appointed LBJ as his Veep and broke the religion barrier to the white house.

Kennedy had a tough time getting many of his domestic programs through Congress. However, he did get an increased minimum wage, better Social Security benefits, and an urban renewal package passed. He created the Peace Corps, and his goal to get to the moon by the end of the 60's found overwhelming support.
On the Civil Rights front, Kennedy initially did not challenge Southern Democrats. Martin Luther King, Jr. believed that only by breaking unjust laws and accepting the consequences could African Americans show the true nature of their treatment. The press reported daily on the atrocities occurring due to nonviolent protest and civil disobedience. Kennedy used executive orders and personal appeals to aid the movement. His legislative programs, however, would not pass until after his death.

John F. Kennedy Biography - 35th President of the United States

I'll grant you, he was a lesser light in foreign affairs than in domestic ones. They were exceeding unstable times and hindsight is 20/20, as they say.

Still, if JFK was a "conservative" then for me this word has no meaning at all.

I remember JFK fondly as a womanizer and a drug addict.
