Yes I mentioned I loved the sequel and that I only saw bits and pieces of the original

So I wanted to see the entire movie . I decided on the Final Cut one

What is my review ??
It was very entertaining and special .
I really loved the final scenes and showdown between Decker and Roy . It was completely not what I expected !! It was an iconic ending of dialogue of what Roy said to Decker . It was mesmerizing!!

Funny ... I think decker was fully human but then I thought about the unicorn dream and that paper unicorn in the final scene and now I am perplexed

I saw movie history

I just loved the other themes in the movie . I also found it utterly visually stunning for a 1982 movie .
The dark tones and rain

The "time to die" scene is one of the all time greatest scenes ever

Decker is a replicant, he had to recall what a memory was

The sequel has the same themes of detective story wrapped into themes of technology , humanity and morality
The sequel was more confusing

Why does decker only have super old black and white pictures in his home ? Who put the paper unicorn on the ground ??

WTF ???
It was Gaffs dream ??

I did not know there was a sequel. The Original is one of my favorite movies.

There isn't a sequel, per se. There is a souless cash-grab that takes place in the same Universe, but adds nothing to the original story.

There is a tacked on reveal of what happened to Rachel and Decker that is not part of the story line. The reveal is so mundane that most people wish they'd just left the fate of Rachel and Decker unresolved.

Our speculations are much more fulfilling than the 'truth' revealed by the 'sequel'.

Omg ...was this movie amazing

They really had the China imagery correct , since they damn own California, today lol

It’s because of you that I saw the original !!
I can’t decide if he was a replica or not ..maybe that was the idea but gaff and the paper unicorn kind of tilt it - that he was

I can’t decide if he was a replica or not

You're not supposed to know. We don't know if Rachel has a four year life-span. We don't know if Decker is a replicant. We don't know how they got away or what kind of life they lived if they did get away.

The not knowing let our fertile imaginations fill in the blanks.

It’s now one of my fav 80s movies next to Empire Strikes back , Aliens and Terminator
The 80's was a great decade of movies.
Scarface.
Wall Street
Rainman
Planes Trains & Automobiles....

I could rattle off a whole list in no time.
You forgot platoon !!
You even forgot Diehard and Predator
