So if Trump abused his power by allegedly soliciting interference in an American election isn’t it likewise an abuse of power to use taxpayer funds to interfere in a foreign election?

The money was sent to campaign for peace between the Israel and Palestine. That is exactly what they did with it. However, as part of that campaign they gained experience and a database of people that they later leveraged to campaign against Netanyahu.

Implying this was intentionally done by Obama or anyone else is unsupported.
