Hasselblad has introduced their new medium format mirrorless digital camera, the X2D 100C:

The price is just north of $8K, and the lens is sold separately, but I've seen sample images takes with this thing and they're ridiculous. Plus, the price beats the shit out of the $33,000 they want for the H6D-100C:

100 megapixels goes an awfully long way...

If you wait 5 years, you can buy camera that for under $1,000.

I don't know about that. Hassy's hold their value pretty well. It wouldn't be eight grand, but I really don't think it'll be under a grand, either.

Besides, five years from now they'll have something new and improved for me to drool over...
