HW Bush broke his central campaign promise, as did Trump with the wall, Trump will also serve 1 term

Yet Federal Tax Revenue is at an ALL TIME HIGH. You must have been a Gender Studies Major.
You must be a Fox News major. Stay tuned...the real damage comes next year when tariffs hit 25%

Has Revenue Risen in 2018?

Yet even these numbers understate revenue losses between 2017 and 2018, since they count revenue raised in 2018 but under 2017's pre-tax cut laws. Roughly three-quarters of the increase in nominal individual income tax revenue since 2017 is the result of non-withheld tax payments made in April (and March) to cover last year'staxes. Another quarter of the rise is from revenue in October, November, and December of 2017 – months which are part of fiscal year 2018 but were under the old tax code.

Excluding October through December as well as non-withheld tax payments, individual income tax revenue is essentially unchanged from 2017. Under this scenario, total nominal revenue is down 4.3 percent, real revenues are down 6.4 percent, and revenues as a share of the economy have decreased by 8.8 percent. Revenues from May through July have fallen even more steeply.*

In other words, revenue has dropped substantially post-tax reform

What broken promises, Trump tried to do everything he said he would and that's why the left hates him so bad.
And he has already fulfilled almost all of them. Cut the corporate tax and individual tax rates across the board, Improved the economy, cut unemployment, strengthened the military, abolished catch & release, appointed conservative judges (almost 100), reversed Obama’s policy on Affirmative Action in schools, etc., reduced illegal immigration and has stopped the caravan, cancelled TPP, canned NAFTA, stopped unfair trade policies (imposed tariffs), etc.

They are extremely unpopular. Even Republican polling shows that voters oppose the tax cuts. The economy was growing and unemployment was going down. His hateful rhetoric on immigration led to deeper losses in the House. TPP would have lowered tariffs on hundreds of American products. By imposing tariffs, they have led to job losses and increased prices on consumers.

Suburban women will likely bury Trump in 2020.

I don't think the bloated orange buffoon will be running again.

Moon Bats are confused about this.

Bush decided all on his own that Americans should give more of their hard earned money to the filthy ass government bureaucrats. He paid the price.

Trump is working as hard as he can to stop illegals from overrunning our country. However, he doesn't control the funding. Only Congress does. The filthy Democrats, aided by some weak minded RINOs, refused to fund the wall and that is on them, not Trump. Americans understand that.

Incorrect. Clinton promised tax hikes, as they were necessary after Reagan destroyed the economy. People were just sick of Republicans screwing the country.

"Reagan destroyed the economy". LOL!

I swear you Moon Bats get more idiotic every day.

Increased taxes are never necessary. What is necessary is decreased spending. A concept you stupid Moon Bats never have understood, have you?

The line later hurt Bush politically. Although he did oppose the creation of new taxes as president, the Democratic-controlled Congress proposed increases of existing taxes as a way to reduce the national budget deficit. Bush negotiated with Congress for a budget that met his pledge, but was unable to make a deal with a Senate and House that was controlled by the opposing Democrats. Bush agreed to a compromise, which increased several existing taxes as part of a 1990 budget agreement.[1]

Bush did increase tax, which in turn caused an economic downturn during his last few months of his administration.

Bush lost because he abandoned Conservative principles. He was a Progressive just like the filthy ass Democrats and he paid for it. Many Conservatives voted for an alternative and that is what gave that asshole Slick Willy the plurality win.

Trump is doing everything he can to stop the shithead Illegals from overrunning our country. The dipshit Democrat don't want to stop it because those are the future Democrat voters.

You really should not do that. It is so difficult to tell when you are being seriously stupid or just pulling our chains!
Well I was being facetious, but then, well, you never can tell about the future.

Americans just might decide we can't afford to ever allow nutjob Democrats to take over the White House again. Actually, they're lucky they're not all being tossed into mental institutions.

It's clear that you weren't around during Reaganomics. Bush had no choice but to raise taxes in order to pay for the taxpayer funded S&L bailout. Reagan did what all Republicans do. He shifted the tax burden onto the middle class, and created a stock market that only aided the wealthy. His deregulation created a disaster, and Bush paid during his tenure.

Obama might have suffered a similar fate, had Bush's policies not come to fruition just before the election. Thankfully, Bush took full blame for the coming of post Reaganomics 2.0

”Bush did increase tax, which in turn caused an economic downturn during his last few months of his administration.”

LOLOL

You cons are delirious.

Bush raised taxes during a recession. After taxes were raised, the economy improved and we came out of the recession in March, 1991, nearly 2 years before Bush left office.

GDP:
1990Q4 -3.6 <-- tax hike, 11/1990
1991Q1 -1.9
1991Q2 3.2
1991Q3 2.0
1991Q4 1.4
1992Q1 4.9
1992Q2 4.4
1992Q3 4.0
1992Q4 4.2 <-- what you called, "economic downturn"

Then Clinton came in, raised taxes more, and the economy soared.

And they always seem to forget that Raygun also increased taxes to pay for his overwhelming debt.

Pretty sure the democrats screwed themselves in the last election by taking the house and not the senate. Now all they can do is stall anything Trump wants to do, giving him an excuse not to accomplish anything. That excuse will get him re-elected.
Nothing is going to get trump re elected. He lost the unions and other blue collar workers that believed his lies.

Women are gone, and kids are up in arms after having refused to vote in '16. Not to worry, he can still do plenty of lasting damage before he's put into prison

Do you understand that Pelosi and the Psychocrats have vowed to never fund the border wall.....because
Illegal immigration is great for the Human traffickers.
Illegal immigration is great for the Mexican Drug cartels,.
Illegal immigration is great for the racist Aztlan Nationalist.
Illegal immigration is great for the racist La Raza cretins
Illegal immigration is great for the welfare moochers.
Illegal immigration is great for the totally corrupt Democratic Party.
BUT it is bad for Americans.

Why does Trump need Congress to fund a wall Trump insisted Mexico will pay for??
Don't liberals know anything ? The wall will have to be built first, and the full cost thereby ascertained, before Mexico can be handed the bill. Once the bill is determined, then Mexico will get it, and pay it.

Mexico is not going to pay it after it’s built if they don’t pay for it before it’s built.

Well, Pilgrim, you must be a young pup too. Read up on history if you want to run with the big dogs.

I have a degree in history and I was 32 when G. H. W. Bush's term ended. Electing Clintoon killed my Navy career.

You need to stop reading the DEM talking points emails.

Trump Voters: One Year in, and he’s Broken 20 Big Promises He Made to You
1. He told you he’d cut your taxes, and that the super-rich like him would pay more. You bought it. But his new tax law does the opposite. By 2027, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, the richest 1 percent will have got 83 percent of the tax cut and the richest 0.1 percent, 60 percent of it. But more than half of all Americans — 53 percent — will pay more in taxes. As Trump told his wealthy friends at Mar-a-Lago just days after the tax bill became law, “You all just got a lot richer.”

2. He promised to close “special interest loopholes that have been so good for Wall Street investors but unfair to American workers,” especially the notorious “carried interest” loophole for private-equity, hedge fund, and real estate partners. You bought it. But the new tax law keeps the “carried interest” loophole.

3. He told you he’d repeal Obamacare and replace it with something “beautiful.” You bought it. But he didn’t repeal and he didn’t replace. (Just as well: His plan would have knocked at least 23 million Americans off health insurance, including many of you.) Instead, he’s doing what he can to cut it back and replace it with nothing. The new tax law will result in 13 million people losing health coverage, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

4. He told you he’d invest $1 trillion in our nation’s crumbling infrastructure. You bought it. But after his giant tax cut for corporations and millionaires, there’s no money left for infrastructure.

5. He said he’d drain the Washington swamp. You bought it. But he’s brought into his administration more billionaires, CEOs, and Wall Street moguls than in any administration in history, to make laws that will enrich their businesses, and he’s filled departments and agencies with former lobbyists, lawyers and consultants who are crafting new policies for the same industries they recently worked for.

6. He said he’d use his business experience to whip the White House into shape. You bought it. But he has created the most dysfunctional, back-stabbing White House in modern history, and has already fired and replaced so many assistants (one of them hired and fired in a little more than a week) that people there barely know who’s in charge of what.

7. He told you he’d “bring down drug prices” by making deals with drug companies. You bought it. But now the White House says that promise is “inoperative.”

8. He told you he’d “stop foreign lobbyists from raising money for American elections.” You bought it. But foreign lobbyists are still raising money for American elections.

9. He told you “I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.” You bought it. But he and House Speaker Paul Ryan are already planning such cuts in order to deal with the ballooning deficit created, in part, by the new tax law for corporations and the rich.

10. He promised “six weeks of paid maternity leave to any mother with a newborn child whose employer does not provide the benefit.” You bought it. But the giant tax cut for corporations and the rich doesn’t leave any money for this.

11. He said that on Day One he’d label China a “currency manipulator.” You bought it. But then he met with China’s president Xi Jinping and declared “China is not a currency manipulator.” Ever since then, Trump has been cozying up to Xi.

12. He said he “won’t bomb Syria.” You bought it. Then he bombed Syria.

13. He said he’d build a “wall” across the southern border. You believed him. But chief of staff John Kelly says it is “unlikely that we will build a wall, a physical barrier, from sea to shining sea.”

14. He promised that the many women who accused him of sexual misconduct “will be sued after the election is over.” You bought it. He hasn’t sued them, presumably because he doesn’t want the truth to come out.

15. He said he would not be a president who took vacations, and he called Barack Obama “the vacationer-in-Chief.” You bought it. But since becoming President he has spent nearly 25 percent of his days at one of his golf properties for some portion of the day, according to Golf News Network, at a cost to taxpayers of over $77 million. That’s already more taxpayer money on vacations than Obama cost in the first 3 years of his presidency. Not to mention all the money taxpayers are spending protecting his family, including his two sons who travel all over the world on Trump business.

16. He said he’d force companies to keep jobs in America, and that there would be “consequences” for companies that shipped jobs abroad. You believed him. But despite their promises, Carrier, Ford, GM, and the rest have continued to ship jobs to Mexico and China. Carrier (a division of United Technologies) has moved ahead with plans to send 1,000 jobs at its Indiana plant to Mexico. Notwithstanding, the federal government has rewarded United Technologies with 15 new contracts since Trump’s inauguration. GE is sending jobs to Canada. IBM is sending them to Costa Rica, Egypt, Argentina, and Brazil. There have been no “consequences” for sending all these jobs overseas.

17. He promised to revive the struggling coal industry and “bring back thousands” of lost mining jobs. You bought it. But coal jobs continue to disappear. Since Trump’s victory, at least 6 plants that relied on coal have closed or announced they will close. Another 40 are projected to close during the president’s four-year term. Utilities continue to switch to natural gas instead of coal, and renewable energy is cheaper than ever.

18. He promised to protect steel workers. But according to the American Iron and Steel Institute, which tracks shipments, steel imports were 19.4 percent higher in the first 10 months of 2017 than in the same period last year. That import surge has hurt American steel workers, who were already struggling against a glut of cheap Chinese steel.

19. He said he’d make America safer. You believed him. But according to Mass Shooting Tracker, there have been 377 mass shootings so far in the Trump administration, including 58 people killed and hundreds injured at a concert in Las Vegas, and 26 churchgoers killed and 20 injured at a church in Texas. Trump refuses to consider any gun control legislation.

20. He said he’d release his taxes. “I’m under a routine audit and it’ll be released, and as soon as the audit is finished it will be released,“ he promised during the campaign. He hasn’t released his taxes.
You got any links for this stuff ?

1. FALSE! Trump's new tax law does NOT do the opposite of "cut your taxes" You are just posting jibberish. Here are the tax cuts and obviously, you are also wrong, by saying >> "more than half of all Americans — 53 percent — will pay more in taxes." That is ludicrous. Look at the chart. In order for your crazy claim to be true, Americans with incomes between $200/yr and $500/yr would have to constitute 53% of the population. (and not even all of them) :cuckoo:

Income Tax Rate Income Levels for Those Filing As:

2017 2018-2025 Single Married-Joint
10% 10% $0-$9,525 $0-$19,050
15% 12% $9,525-$38,700 $19,050-$77,400
25% 22% $38,700-$82,500 $77,400-$165K
28% 24% $82,500-$157,500 $165K-$315K
33% 32% $157,500-$200K $315K-$400K
33%-35% 35% $200K-$500K $400K-$600K
39.6% 37% $500K+ $600K+

How Trump's Tax Reform Plan Affects You

And I don't remember him saying the rich would pay more. Got a video ?

2. Evidence ?

3. He repealed the mandate of it, and it all would have gone if not for RINO McCain. Trump did his part.

4. Infrastructure repair can still be done. Most of Trump's 1st term is still ahead of him. You have evidence that there's no money for it ? That sounds ridiculous, He could always divert funds from some other program (which is not beneficial to the American people)

5. Accusations without a single specific name. Nothing concrete.

6. Would you prefer keeping traitors like Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, James Comey, Gary Cohn ? Others like Scott Pruitt and Hope Hicks felt the pressures from the anti-Trump left were more than what the job was worth. Those cases are caused by the left, not the White House.

7. :link:

8. If he were to not stop foreign lobbyists from raising (AND CONTRIBUTING) money for US elections, Democrats are the ones who would benefit the most from that. According to leftist PolitiFact, "several countries with harsh rules for women and that kill gays have contributed to the Clinton Foundation both before and after her tenure at the State Department." Some of these were Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Yemen, Oman, and Morocco. Saudi Arabia alone contributed a whopping $42.4 Million (20% of Clinton's campaign chest)

The Petra News Agency in Jordan published what it described as exclusive comments from Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which included a claim that Riyadh has provided 20 percent of the total funding to Hillary's campaign.

“Saudi Arabia always has sponsored both Republican and Democratic Party of America and in America current election also provide with full enthusiasm 20 percent of the cost of Hillary Clinton’s election even though some events in the country don’t have a positive look to support the king of a woman (sic) for presidency,” the report quoted Prince Mohammed as having said.

Saudi Arabia Has Funded 20% Of Hillary's Presidential Campaign, Saudi Crown Prince Claims

What Donald Trump said about Saudi Arabia in 2016

9. I have not heard of ANY report of Trump PLANNING to cut Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid, and I doubt that is happening. Again, you make bold and wild statements, without presenting a shred of evidence.

10. :link:

11. HA HA. Oh yeah ? By stopping the unrestricted access to our US market, by placing large tariffs of Chinese imports ? You call that "cozying" I'll the Chinese don't.

12. When did he say he would not bomb Syria ? :link:

13. Yeah, I know what John Kelly said. I know exactly what he said. He's wrong.

14. Rhetoric. No source. No link. Nothing. Besides, if he sues women accusers, that's his business, not the American peoples'

15. How does spending time at a golf property, cost taxpayers over $77 million, that wouldn't have been a cost if he were somewhere else ?.. and can you show that he didn't carry on presidential work while at these places ?

16. So having lowered the unemployment rate to 3.7%, you're going to complain about Americans being out of work ? and your post about Carrier isn't quite accurate. 3 weeks after taking office, Trump did a tax incentive deal with Carrier who had proposed to send 1400 jobs to Mexico. from Trump's deal they only sent 550, saving the remainder to remain in Indianapolis.
Right now. Trump is threatening to cut off federal subsides to GM, if it were to close 5 plants and cut 14,000 jobs in North America.

17. As usual, you present nothing to back up your assertions. "promised to revive the struggling coal industry and “bring back thousands” of lost mining jobs", you said. No source. No link. Nothing. During the Obama years 35,200 jobs were lost. Technology (esp fracking for natural gas) is what's killing the coal industry, not politics.

18. The first 10 months of 2017, was before the Trump tariffs on steel imports (June 2018), So Trump HAS kept his promise to protect steel workers.

19. If Trump went along with liberal gun control proposals, there would be many more mass shootings than there are. When will liberals ever get it that passing gun LAWS has no effect on criminals who don't obey laws. And when will they get it that gun-free zones are a primary reason for mass shootings (invitations to mass shooters)
I'm not sure of the politics of this, but I know Trump has called for nationwide CCW and abolition of gun-free zones, but presidents don't have total power.

20 I don't give a rat's ass about Trump's taxes. HERE is what I care about >>

1. Brought GDP growth up > from 1.8% to 4.2%

united-states-gdp-growth.png

2. Lowered unemployment from 4.8% to 3.7%

united-states-unemployment-rate.png

3. Lowest black unemployment EVER (5.7%)

4. Lowest Hispanic unemployment EVER (4.6%)

5. Highest Median income EVER ($61,372/year)

6. US homebuilding permits soar to highest level since 2007.

7. US manufacturing having best year since 2004

8. Welfare participation at 17 year low.

9. More Americans working than EVER before.

10. ISIS chased out of Raqqa and Mosul - much weakened
