An attorney for first son Hunter Biden spurned House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer's (R-KY) record request, insisting it violates Supreme Court precedent.
Comer's office sent letters to James Biden, Hunter Biden, and Hunter's former business partner Eric Schwerin demanding records pertaining to overseas dealings with Chinese intelligence-linked businessmen. Hunter Biden's lawyer, Abbe David Lowell, argued that as a private citizen, the panel faces "especially restricted investigative power."

Lowell revealed that he received the letter from Comer's office late Wednesday. He offered to sit down with the panel to determine whether Hunter "Biden has information that may inform some legitimate legislative purpose."
Comer is investigating President Joe Biden's possible involvement in his family's overseas business dealings. He argued in his records request that investigators possess evidence that the "Biden family business model is built on Joe Biden’s political career and connections."

The FBI actually began an Investigation of Hunter Biden during the Obama administration and allowed Hunter's activities to continue even though is actions were against the law.
Unfortunately, the FBI will claim that the investigation will remain opened and ongoing, until Joe Biden is dead and gone for over 20 years. Some investigations are just meant for show, and the FBI intends to keep investigating Hunter and Joe forever, with no conclusion and no reports.
