How would you "interpret" the Dems' mascot?

The half official mascot is the ass, also called donkey for the Democratic Party.

It is not uncommon to see, especially in the Mediterranean and Middle East regions, a flock of sheep traversing through the countryside. There is the ass up front leading the column, the sheep are following the ass and the sheepdogs are on the flanks of the column.

My interpretation of those participants in the light what they represent.

Ass: leader and protector.

Sheepdogs: enforcers and protectors.

Sheep: is the flock and folklore doesn’t give to much credit to their mental capabilities.


The ass is the leader of the group. He is very protective and will ferociously protect the flock from anything and anybody. He will not tolerate independent “thinking” and will vehemently kick and bray, that your eardrums will rupture from its loudness, if you try to impart common sense into the flock.


The sheep is the mindless crowd. Sheep don’t think for themselves because the ass thinks for them and takes care of their needs in exchange for their flock vote by taking the plow horse’s hard earned money.


Sheepdogs. They are enforcing party directives and protect the flock from ideas what make sense and soundly based on facts. Sheep cannot go astray. They can try but have to face the consequences of being bitten. No independent thinkers as “predators” can approach the flock. Sheepdogs are highly mobile, participate in message board brainwashing and to a very limited extent can think independently.


So when Dems are called “ass” they should take it as a compliment.
