In moderation, religious and spiritual practices can be great for a personā€™s life and mental well-being. But religious fundamentalismā€”which refers to the belief in the absolute authority of a religious text or leadersā€”is almost never good for an individual. This is primarily because fundamentalism discourages any logical reasoning or scientific evidence that challenges its scripture, making it inherently maladaptive.

A theocracy would undermine our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

This is nonsense. If something is right, it's right. Morality doesn't shift. Jesus' did not equivocate in His teachings. The only wise path is to be a fervent and enthusiastic practitioner of Jesus' teachings of morality, compassion, and love. And this does include hard-and-fast rules. And since Jesus' teachings are 100% truth, all valid science will agree with it.

According to your own definitions, progressive ideology is the main source of religious fundamentalism.
From "climate change" to clot shots to massive election fraud, no amount of evidence & proof is ever enough to convince these cultists that everything they base their beliefs on is nothing but lies, propaganda & ignorance

The term "fundamentalist" is a cliche. Jim Jones was a religious fundamentalist that left wingers embraced. President Carter was a believer among left coast politicians. Jones was a psychotic mass murder.

I am a moderate fundamentalist.

I believe that anyone who doesn't adopt moderation in all things should be castrated and put to a horrible, lingering death.

Moral certainty is extremely attractive to the weak minded.
democrat women have full beards ...:doubt:

And you man hating feminist want to end the most evolutionary element of our entire society with ending the family. You want to cause more crime in our cities, you want to destroy peoples lives and cause all imaginable mental illness.

I'd rather live in a religious land that respects human realities.

Look what it does to Muslims.

Morality included slavery...at one time. Morality included with hunting ...at one time. Morality included child labor...at one time. Morality included torture to get con-fessions...at one time. Morality included slaughter of native women and children ...at one time. Morality included priests having their way with defenseless children...at one time.

Is that still YOUR morality?

Total nonsense. Thankfully, public approval of neanderthal abortion will erode to nothing, just like with slavery.

Didn't at one time Religious fundamentalists tortured anyone who's scientific views they felt were heresy?

Also didn't Christians also used to conquer tribes they felt were "pagan" to either convert them to Christianity or for their gold?
