Shortly after Bill Clinton became Governor of Arkansas, Walmart put his wife on the Walmart board of directors.

Walmart is the largest company based in Arkansas.

Does anyone here know how much money she was paid?

Board compensation is usually not that much. But the STOCK options are fantastic and where a member makes a huge profit. Being Walmart and knowing Sam Walton's story -- it was probably a less than being on the board of a large supermarket chain.

Meanwhile Billy Bob was being called "chicken man" by Ross Perot because of his VERY close ties to the Tyson Chicken family. And that worked in Billy Jeff's favor and the Tyson's favor A LOT during his 8 years in office.

No idea what she was paid but I really like Walmart's business ethos. Always have thought it was bashed for no good reason other than the unions have always been pissy that they haven't been able to get their big cut.
