Your article also does not address how the pressure would effect the seal of disposable masks if you tried to breathe through something that could actually be effective against viruses. The article does not address the bulk of breath that easily flows around the mask and into the cloud around ones head. The article is just theory, so it does not address why a person who vapes can blow huge value clouds through and around masks, as if they were not even there.

I've seen a few other people make it to brownian motion an electrostatic charges to explain how a hole can filter out something smaller, this makes you one of the scarce few who has even acknowledged that the holes or pores in masks are huge compared to the size of what they are supposed to filter out. Congrats, you are far more advanced than the garden variety lefty. I am looking forward to the day when a mask culture defender actually presents the maximum width an opening can be in order for brownian motion to have a filtration effect.

The problem with your argument is there are no specific hole sizes in mask filtration. Thinking of masks as having a standard hole size such as a wire screen is simple but inaccurate. The bottom picture is a piece of thread in a mask filter layer. Although that thread may appear to be sold it is actually fibers with a maze holes. So what appears to be solid thick cloth is actually a sheet of irregular spaced threads composed of a maze of fibers and holes, some of the spacings is far smaller than the droplets and some are far larger.

The virus itself ranges from 50 to 140 nm in size however droplets that carry the virus varies that carry them ranges from 20 to 2000 microns. A simple single layer cloth mask will stop or divert the larger droplets, Double layers are more effective an n95 masks will filter out 95%. There are a number labs that measure filtration. NIH has several papers on it.
BTW masks do not filter out the actual virus but rather the droplets that convey them. And yes, brownian motion and electrostatic charges do divert the droplets.

I am looking forward to the day when a mask culture defender actually presents the maximum width an opening can be in order for brownian motion to have a filtration effect.

Masks are less effective at protecting the wearer from airborne viruses. Persons who are contagious and not wearing masks around people who are wearing masks could potentially be worse for the mask wearer since it has been pointed out that something as small as an airborne virus (minus the respiratory droplets and aerosols) could penetrate the mask and possibly recirculate due to the mask being more effective at not letting those particulates escape from the wearer of the mask.

The reason why masks don't stop coronavirus is because there is no mechanism in them that can stop viruses. The holes or pores in masks that are meant to filter stuff out are 1000 times bigger than viruses and virus carrying droplets, so viruses and droplets flow through masks effortlessly. If one uses a filter that can actually filter out some viruses, pressure is created that allows breath to go around the mask. Masks are useless, and no lefty can explain HOW they work.

The fabrics used in masks are press together tightly. The velocity of expelled droplets from coughs and sneezes which are typical 50 to 100 mph fall dramatically as they enter the mask. They are either caught in the material or passed through at a very low speed do to collisions. This significantly reduces transmission.

The size of the weave of the fabric is not directly comparable to the size of the droplets or droplet nuclei, due to the three dimensional nature of many types of material, the indirect route taken by small particles in brownian motion, and the electrostatic effects in many materials. So if you’ve seen those claims that masks can’t possibly stop COVID-19 because the virus is too small, now you know why they’re totally wrong.

This information is pure theory. It cites brownian motion as a means to filter out smaller particles, but it skips over specifying how wide the path of travel is or the maximum width parameters of the hole that is supposed to stop the smaller particle via brownian motion. Your article also does not address how the pressure would effect the seal of disposable masks if you tried to breathe through something that could actually be effective against viruses. The article does not address the bulk of breath that easily flows around the mask and into the cloud around ones head. The article is just theory, so it does not address why a person who vapes can blow huge value clouds through and around masks, as if they were not even there.

Of course it's theory, but widely accepted. Masks have proven themselves effective at reducing transmission of airborne diseases for nearly hundred years.
