I'd guess his "fortunes" depend on whether he can draw crowds of ten thousand or more. The mooks will give him enough money to stay afloat, they're doing that even now. That's a very real possibility, but not really 90%. A majority could be possible.

I also don't think we have fascism. I think Moonglow sort of refers to neither party really giving a real difference from the other. Trump obviously has rhetoric that is different. But the reality is McConnell always controlled substantive legislation. Notice Obama care wasn't repealed, but the taxes on medical corporations were. Trump could build his wall and try to keep all the would be immigrants (legal and illegal) in Mexico, and move the troops around.

I think the multinationals and Wall St want us to be happy consumers who believe we get to freely vote and votes are legally counted. Which is pretty much the case. How much actual control any of us have over events or our earthly fate ... I'm sort of a pessimist.
