How do you like your creative artists?

Being mildly involved in the arts for most of my life, at an unprofessional and unpaid level, I have noticed how some artists are with how they approach their creative endeavors and you could discuss this on any slant you want but what gets my attention the most lately are two distinctive techniques all artists use.

Bluntly you got the copycats and the originals. Now, arguably nobody can create something completely original but there is a difference. Using movie posters as an example, you can definitely tell whether the artists who made them were using their own imagination or were studying someone elses creations and taking directly from them, intentionally. This copycatting appears to be a technique of the more socialist leaning artists more than the independent originalist artists. I have noticed that a lot of these left leaning artists are prone to parody, copycatting and parallelisms in their creative endeavors.

They will parody about anything that can be rhymed, color schemes, wordplays, stances and costumes. I guess in their minds they are "overwriting' what they parody but in actuality they are sacrificing a rare opportunity to use their creative imagination to make something timeless but instead wasted it on teching some mockery of something classic valuable and meaningful. Think of all the billions wasted on junk films used for this precise reason.

How do you like your creative artists? Do you like them obsessing with other artists and grafting together copy machine composites of their targets work or do you like the artists that dont pay attention to the jester mocking them and forge ahead undaunted and ready to make something great?

My guess is that most everyone is going to agree they prefer the artists that go their own way and work hard to create something all its own. Everyone likes original classics but it seems lately that this is so rare youd think every movie out there right now is a copy of something else.

I like artists who are fierce and fearless. Not a fan of the samplers.

Personally, if an artist creates something I can tell what it's supposed to be, then thats good art.

Somebody just smearing paint on a canvas with their tits or dick isn't art. Anything a toddler does in kindergarten class shouldn't be considered "art" by an adult doing the same damned thing.

The Samplers is good way to describe them. They control the arts in this era so we must look to the previous generations to find what isn't there on the big screen now.

What I find about artists, is that I like their work best when it is what is in their heart. A great artist can be compelled or paid to create what somebody else wants, but their best work is usually when they create what they want to create. Not what a professor wants, nor what a customer wants. I always want to know if a piece of art is from the artist's perspective and that it is truly his.

What I find about artists, is that I like their work best when it is what is in their heart. A great artist can be compelled or paid to create what somebody else wants, but their best work is usually when they create what they want to create. Not what a professor wants, nor what a customer wants. I always want to know if a piece of art is from the artist's perspective and that it is truly his.

Some artists live in anothers pocket while other artists are free and independent, as it has always been if your main occupation is described as "artist". The best artists of modern times don't financially depend on their art and have taken up their hobby without high expectations on how well they might do. Without that financial need hanging over their heads they aren't prone to becoming a tool in their financiers arsenal, therefore they are less restricted and less manipulated in what they are free to create.

This contemporary art scene is more than it appears and likely the artist was already wealthy because certainly this cannot be considered classic art in any sense except of those who are a part of it and in the know of what is being accomplished with the images, who they target and what the next project is. I would say Graphics Designer, not painter. Techicians could appreciate this. More like a high class clique testing the waters in public.

Also note that Biden's son is a first rate exceptional painter on the level with the best there is alive today. Choke on that factoid for a while.
