Steve Scully has worked at C-Span since 1990. C-Span has hardly been partisan. Also it will be a townhall with questions asked by undecided voters. It does not really matter.

It never made sense to me when Democrats called for Biden to skip the debates. Since last week when it looked as if the debates were indeed on, it struck me that it was just a strategy the Democrats played to bamboozle gullible Republicans. Perhaps to steer their attention away from the moderators selected by the committee?

No one would ever accept a moderator who had interned at the Trump organization, nor should they. I am sure he is a great guy, but a former Biden intern should not be moderating the debate if another qualified alternative is available. We have to at least pretend these things are fair.
