How about some examples of this “socialism” stuff y’all are afraid of?

Loooool....ignorance these trump supporters display everyday is baffling.

Like I said . They don’t know what the word means . It’s just an insult to them: “This pizza has anchovies , its socialist !”

I get it. You don't want to Keep America Great. You want it to flounder like socialist Venezuela. Who is trying to get out of socialism.

What we do here is nothing like what’s going on in Venezuela.

Unless you’d like to provide an example . Cause I’m not really seeing any .

American's could keep their doctor?

Did you lose your doctor ?
I didn't, but my deductibles doubled and the price of a visit increased.

If we relied on capitalism to fight WWII, we would have lost

Companies deciding whether or not they would produce war goods, critical supplies going to the highest bidder, workers coming and going as they pleased, companies funding their own R&D
It's funny to watch conservative republicans not know how socialistic Total War was. Businesses got told by the government what they were manufacture for the war effort. No choices there.
the manufacturer was a private company paid by the government. that isn't socialist at all. My company makes product for the government and we get paid for it. hmmmm not clear your point asswipe.

The problem is that any program set up, run and funded by the government to benefit society, is "socialism", not the definition being used by American conservatives. Those programs give their citizens a tremendous amount of freedom to plan and organize our lives.

I have lived my life with the full knowledge and understanding that my basic medical care is a given. Whether I am working full time, unemployed or retired, I never in my life have had to worry about having enough money to take care of my medical needs. I don't have to save up for treatments or worry about co-pays, these things are a given. That, in and of itself, is freedom you don't have. I don't have to worry about what happens to my health care coverage if I change jobs, or if I'm unemployed for any length of time. Health care is my right.

Imagine if you had that freedom.

No need to "imagine" anything. I earn my way, pay my premiums, co-pays and coinsurance. Imagine my freedom of not needing a f*cking thing from you.

Until a bad accident or health problem comes your way . Then you’d be “socilaism Save me!”

Sorry son i'm paying my own way just like I always have

FDR saved them
FDR is the reason they went hungry. Most soup kitchens were run by churches, anyway, moron.
Ask the families in the Dust Bowl
Ask the prisoners staving in Stalin's gulags how they liked socialism. Ask the people of Venezuela how they like socialism.
Fingerboy...

What the hell does that have to do with FDR?
You're using him to support socialism. Why not look at how socialism actually works?

All societies have part socialism and part capitalism

Incorrect. The idea of insurance is to pool risk so that one is covered in case of an expensive emergency.

One major problem with our current system is that it combines actual insurance with what are essentially prepaid routine services. Inserting insurance companies and the burdensome regulatory apparatus between patients and health care providers for routine services just makes the services far more expensive. In reality, we end up paying more for them.

What current programs in the USA constitute socialism?

"All this “socialism” name calling must be seen for what it is: substance-free fear-mongering by Republicans who want to redistribute as much or more of our resources than Democrats. They just want to redistribute it upwards"

the manufacturer was a private company paid by the government. that isn't socialist at all.

How so? Cause you have insurance. The whole point of insurance is to not pay your own way .
You are paying your own way when you buy insurance, moron.
