And it goes like this...

"November 8, 2016, nearly 63 million Americans from around the country chose Donald J. Trump to be the 45th President of the United States. Now, less than a year before the next presidential election, 231 House Democrats in Washington, D.C., are trying to undo the will of the American people. As one Democrat admitted, the pursuit of this extreme course of action is because they want to stop President Trump’s re-election..."

The OP is not entirely correct. That GOP rationale' is based on the fact that the democrats have not proven anything close to a "high crime", even with their "kangaroo court".

You may understand better if you read a few books on the deep state coup attempts. I recommend Dan Bongino's "Exonerated" and Gregg Jarrett's "Witch Hunt" for details on how the Obama admin illegally spied on and setup Trump and members of his team. The entire Mueller investigation was setup by the CIA (Mifsud, et.al) putting words in Popadope's mouth about Russian emails, and the Hillary Clinton paid for Steele Dossier. That's it. Even when the FBI offered $50,000 for anyone who could prove the Steele Dossier, no one could. So the FBI used it anyway to get FISA warrants on the Trump campaign. The rest is history.

If you don't think that Republicans are outraged by that real "abuse of power" you are mistaken.

Here's hoping that Barr, Huber, Durham, and Horowitz can issue more than a few indictments.
