Hollywood has glorified gay activist Harvey Milk as a saint. They somehow forgot to mention that Milk had sex with a child or that he was closely allied to Jim Jones.

Here is an excerpt from Randy Shilts' The Mayor of Castro Street pertaining to Milk’s boyfriend, Jack Galen McKinley:

"...sixteen-year-old McKinley was looking for some kind of father figure...At 33, Milk was launching a new life, though he could hardly have imagined the unlikely direction toward which his new lover would pull him." (pages 30-31)

Apparently this kind of behavior was not unusual for Milk. More excerpts:

"It would be to boyish-looking men in their late teens and early 20's that Milk would be attracted for the rest of his life." (page 24)

"Harvey always had a penchant for young waifs with substance abuse problems." (page 180)

It wasn't rape rape.

-- Noted liberal icon and spokesperson Whoopie Goldberg

Everyone should watch that clip and see how "situational ethics" are done.
Situational ethics, of course being the practice of changing ethics, or rules, depending on the situation. This practice has it's own prominent section in the liberal playbook.
Whoopin defends him not because she thinks he is innocent - but attempts to alter his guilt by redefining the criminal act itself.

Reality itself doesn't support liberal goals and ideals -- that's why they continually have to re-define reality.

They don't realize it, but it's a tacit admission that liberalism is a failure.

And to the point of insanity. I think in most television shows, after this episode, they would have been fired. But not the View. It is a beacon of liberal thinking. To me the most outrageous statement by Whoopi was not the "it wasn't rape rape" - but it came when the co-host said "he gave her qualudes and alcohol, and then had sex with her"...at that point Whoppi interrupted with a near inaudible "but they had sex before". WOW.
Marginalizing the fact the guy drugged a 13 year old and then raped her, by saying "well - she let him have sex with her before soo..."

Insane it is.

There are no enemies among the left. They will redefine words, torture meanings, and insist black is white before they'll criticize anything a fellow leftist does.

Groupthink is paramount. Anyone who dares think for himself is attacked.
