So Trump gives a speech stating what many of his voters believed, and a small percentage of those people got excited and violent and stormed the Capitol building. Not just by his words...many of us conservatives believed something wasn't right about an election that included mass mailing of unsolicited absentee ballots. There was good reason to believe it opened a wider door to voter fraud. True? We dont know. But no judge wanted his or her legacy to be about overturning an election so none accepted the evidence as worthy of a trial. I get it.

But....where were the AR-15's? Where were the AK-47's. Heck...where were the Lugers, the Saturday night specials? The glocks? Where were the hostages? Where were the shootings by the rioters? Where were the "demands".....where was the "zone we own".....

If this was a planned event as the left claims...exactly why would someone looking to defeat a government use sticks and stones and frozen bottles of water when so many guns are available?

For years now the democrat radical leftists have been demonizing American gun owners while defending the rights of inner city and other criminals to blow off steam armed to the teeth with illegally acquired firearms; guns possibly supplied to them by the democrats themselves. I witnessed the transition myself from the 1980's where openly carrying a hunting rifle or even sidearm in public places was perfectly normal, to present day where arming oneself in public is now considered among the greatest of social taboos.

Our modern government does not want the average American citizen to be well armed or even armed at all, beyond perhaps some ancient and rusty hand me down rifle collecting dust in our attics. All the while inner city criminals arm themselves with every modern firearm available and use them to murder themselves and innocent civilian bystanders, often children. Along the same lines, life in many rural and suburban American areas is becoming more and more dangerous, what with the release of tens of thousands of prisoners due to COVID, supposedly. If anything, a caring government, a government by and for the people, would encourage its citizens to acquire the means to defend themselves and their property.

All of the above goes intimately hand-in-hand with the events of January 6, 2021. Many of the people who showed up around the federal Capitol Building that day fit the description of average American gun owners and gun culture enthusiasts. Thus, the Democratic Party has very obviously taken full advantage of the chance to propagandize any and all American gun owners as seditionist terrorists—a very likely prelude to the final elimination of American gun owner rights and the simultaneous proliferation of criminal use of firearms on our streets and in our neighborhoods.
